Ye Sha had reached the second floor, but the escalator to the third was blocked by several plastic monsters. They were savagely devouring human flesh, a gruesome and terrifying sight.
As he considered taking a detour to find another way up, Ye Sha shifted his foot slightly, causing the monsters to halt their feast. They raised their heads, scanning the area cautiously.
“D*mn it!”Without hesitation, Ye Sha bolted into a nearby restroom. There were still other humans fleeing nearby—he couldn’t afford for anyone to see his secret.
He was going to play his trump card.
Every minute wasted meant greater danger for Liu Yuning’s life!
When he emerged again, Ye Sha had transformed into a terrifying and feral werewolf. Letting out a guttural growl, he launched himself at the monsters near the escalator.
In mere seconds, the three or four seemingly horrific creatures were torn to shreds under his razor-sharp claws. Their bodies, though fearsome in appearance, were no stronger than ordinary plastic.
If only the survivors could muster some courage and fight back, far fewer people would have died.
Ye Sha didn’t stop. Moving on all fours, he darted up to the third floor in just a few breaths, his immense strength and speed like that of a jungle predator.
On the third floor, a group of survivors was preparing to descend. They had banded together to fend off the plastic monsters and remained relatively safe.
However, when Ye Sha—a massive, feral beast with glowing green eyes—leapt onto the floor, they froze in terror. The monstrous figure before them seemed to promise certain death. Legs trembling, they couldn’t move a muscle.
But Ye Sha ignored them entirely. He dashed deeper into the third floor, determined to find the broadcast room.
The survivors, realizing they weren’t being attacked, let out a collective sigh of relief.
“I think... I think it’s leaving,” one man stammered.
“Let’s get out of here!” another said, his voice shaking. The group nodded and began to descend, helping each other as they went.
Unfortunately, none of them knew the nightmare awaiting them on the lower floors...
Ye Sha’s enhanced vision allowed him to scan the third floor quickly. His sharp senses, bolstered by his transformation, helped him spot the broadcast room sign deep within the floor.
Along the way, he slashed through several plastic monsters with ease, rescuing a few trembling survivors in the process.
These survivors, too terrified to speak, watched their "savior" in awe and horror. First, they had been hunted by the bizarre monsters, and now they were saved by a werewolf. The world had turned into a nightmare beyond comprehension, where survival seemed impossible to predict.
Finally, Ye Sha found the broadcast room.
“I’m here! What do you want?” Ye Sha yelled into a speaker mounted on the wall.
As he ran through a nearby store, his body shifted back to human form. His tattered clothes barely clung to him, leaving him disheveled but unyielding.
“Hehehe… What do I want? Hehehe… I want… you dead!”
The eerie voice cackled maniacally.
The broadcast room door swung open, and out leapt a grotesque abomination. It was a stitched-together monstrosity, seemingly formed from two human bodies fused together in a chaotic, unnatural manner.
The creature stood on four human legs, providing a grotesquely stable base. Four mismatched arms protruded from its torso at odd angles, and two horrifying heads, each with bloodied jaws agape, snarled and screamed incoherently.
The malformed beast had once been security guards Wang Fengyang and Liu Ming. They had been murdered by the sinister broadcast and then fused into this abomination.
Ye Sha’s breath hitched. Even as a werewolf, the sight of his fellow humans twisted into such a state was deeply unsettling.
But the abomination didn’t give him time to think. With a powerful push from its four legs, it lunged at Ye Sha with alarming speed.
Rolling to the side, Ye Sha narrowly avoided the monster’s crushing stomp, which left a gaping crater in the concrete floor.
“I can’t afford to hold back!”
In an instant, Ye Sha transformed back into his werewolf form.
The broadcast’s voice rang out again, giddy with excitement. “Hahaha! I didn’t know you could do that! You’re one of them… Hehehe… One of them…”
Ye Sha ignored the voice’s nonsensical rambling. With a snarl, he charged at the creature. His razor-sharp claws sliced through one of its legs in a single swift motion.
The monster staggered, unbalanced by the loss of a limb. Ye Sha darted to another angle, carefully avoiding its erratic lunges. His goal was clear: disable its movement entirely.
With another precise strike, Ye Sha tore off a second leg. The abomination collapsed, unable to support its grotesque weight.
Taking advantage of its vulnerability, Ye Sha launched himself onto its torso, claws slashing ferociously. In a flurry of brutal strikes, he severed both heads, blackened blood spurting in every direction.
Panting heavily, Ye Sha looked at the lifeless remains. “That’s it?” he muttered, surprised at how easily the abomination fell.
The broadcast’s voice cackled again. “Weak? Hehehe… Maybe. But that’s okay! Now… Number Two! Get him!”
