CHAPTER 3: AVOID

1495 Words
"Yawn..." Bella woke up from her sleep, she looked at the pink clock while rubbing her eyes. The clock showed it was 6 in the morning. In the real world, Bella usually woke up early, contrasting to Bella in the comic who always woke up late and always late for school. "Sigh… what am I supposed to start the day?" Bella decided to take a shower and immediately get ready to go to school. She wanted to leave in the morning so she could breathe the fresh morning air, so maybe the burden on her mind would be lighter. After she got prepared, Bella went downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. Surprisingly, breakfast was already provided on the dining table. Even though she usually had to buy groceries at the market so she could eat, now there was so much delicious food on the table. “Wow, so delicious…” "Miss, please eat them so you won't be hungry at school," said Mrs. Lia. "Okay Mrs. Lia, thank you very much. Wow, pasta must be really delicious!” Bella was excited. Meanwhile, the maids there glanced at each other because they knew that Bella Jensly usually really liked sandwiches instead of pasta. …. "Wow, this fantasy world is really beautiful." Bella was amazed at the pink clouds, and the beautiful spring trees. Unlike in the real world where the roads were full of pollution, noisy, and the atmosphere was hotter. After a few minutes of driving, she finally arrived at the school, where the name of the school was "International La Rose". All eyes were on her. Bella felt uncomfortable with such strange looks from the students. "BELLA!!" shouted Sherla who had just arrived. "Gosh, you startled me. Sher, why are those people staring at me?" "Y'know, I am surprised that you came to school this early. Other people might think the same way too." Bella who heard this immediately rolled her eyes lazily. It didn't take long for them to reach the class, again all eyes were on Bella. "So this is being beautiful feels like, everyone won't stop staring at me," Bella said arrogantly. "What a silly confidence," Sherla said. Bella sat down on a chair after they got into the class. "Why are you sitting here?" asked Sherla. "Where should I sit? I'm your best friend, we should sit at the same table, right?" Bella insisted. "Huh? You're usually sitting beside Marco, you sit right there." Sherla said, pointing to a chair in the back corner. Bella felt that she had forgotten a few parts of the storyline as she didn't know that Bella and Marco were classmates, and they were even in the same seat. "You don't suffer amnesia, do you, Bel? You've been acting really weird since yesterday." Sherla asked to make sure, she was worried that Bella had mild amnesia. Bella didn't really want to sit with Marco, she wanted to avoid the guy who had ignored her. "From now on, may I sit with you? Please…?" Begged Bella while showing her puppy eyes. "Whoa, you usually cry like a baby if you can't sit beside Marco," Sherla said, teasing Bella. "I have told you that from now on I don't like Marco anymore." "Wow, are you serious?" Sherla couldn't believe what she heard. "VERY SERIOUS!" Suddenly a group of boys entered the classroom, one of them was Marco. Marco just walked by and so did Marco's friends. KRING!!! The bell rang and Mrs. Avaline entered the room, a sign that the first subject was mathematics. "Hey Mar, why doesn't Bella sit with you?" asked Frans. "How should I know? Like I care," Marco replied cynically, even though he also wondered why Bella seemed to be avoiding him. "Do you realize that Bella's attitude has changed so much after you hit her with the ball yesterday?" asked Greg. "You ARE the weird one. Why so curious? Like you're a journalist hahaha." Algaz laughed out loud after pulling a very cringe joke. "ALGAZ!" shouted Mrs. Avaline while pinching Algaz's ear. "Ouch! It hurts, Ma'am!" Algaz grimaced in pain when his ears were pinched until they were red. "If you want to chit-chat, do it outside then! Don't disturb my class." Mrs. Avaline scolded while dragging Algaz out of the classroom. During a mathematics subject that probably could make all of the students' hair fall one by one, the long-awaited bell finally rang: a break time sign. All the students felt dizzy and nauseous after learning all the math formulas taught by Mrs. Aveline. Bella pulled Sherla's hand and they were going out of the classroom in a hurry. She couldn't hold her hunger anymore, and of course, she wanted to avoid Marco as well. "Wow, it seems your charm has faded, Mar. Bella really ignores you now hahaha." Algaz mocked. "HAHAHA, yeah yeah apparently it's true," said Greg, laughing. Without further ado, Marco's gang also rushed to the cafeteria to feed their stomachs. They sat at the table they often gathered, right in the third row from the cafeteria door. Suddenly, two girls approached their table. "Sorry, the other tables are full. Can my friend and I sit here?" asked a girl. "With our pleasure. What can't we provide to you, beautiful?" Frans replied while blinking his eyes. He was known to be a playboy. He flirted with almost all the girls at school, but sadly no one wanted to date him. These two girls were Isha and her best friend, Rasoline. Isha just smiled hearing Frans' words. Then, Isha glanced at Marco whose gaze was not focused. "Marco, may I sit next to you?" Isha asked gently. "Why are you asking for permission? You're Marco's girlfriend," said Greg. "Sit down," Marco commandingly replied. The two girls immediately sat down, Isha beside Marco with Rasoline next to Isha. "Where's Bella? Why isn't she with you guys?" Isha asked. "You aren't being bullied or threatened again by that psychopath, right?" Frans asked in a slightly worried tone. Isha shook her head. "I was with you all this morning, so I haven't seen Bella since." The food came and they immediately ate the food. "Eat a lot, dear..." Marco said while feeding Isha. "Oops, maybe I should pay the boarding house first because this world only belongs to Mar—akhhh!" before he finished speaking, Frans' mouth had been hit with a large piece of meat by Greg. Seeing their behavior, everyone laughed. Two people looked at the two lovebirds with an unusual look. …… On another table... "Errr… Bel, it seems they're watching you," said Sherla as she realized that Marco's gang was watching her best friend. Bella, who was busy eating a loaf of bread, just shrugged her shoulders. "It's none of my business. Enjoy your food, Sherla. You better don't talk too much," Bella said with a mouth full of food. Hearing that, Sherla couldn't help but sigh. Sometimes, Bella's eyes accidentally caught Marco's who was also looking at her earlier. But Bella quickly averted her gaze. "Disgusting…" Bella thought while she saw Marco feeding Isha. "Are you still jealous?" Sherla asked teasingly. "Me? Jealous? With Marco? Ewww…" Bella said while acting like someone who was about to throw up. "Don't tell me that you're actually still jealous?" Sherla teased while raising and lowering her eyebrows. "You've never been stabbed with a knife, have you?" Bella threatened her, pointing at Sherla with a spoon instead of a real knife. "Since when did you become a psychopath?" "Since you're wearing tacky eyeshadow today, hahahaha," Bella sneered, laughing so hard that the whole cafeteria could hear her. Bella Avalia was very different from Bella Jensly. Bella Avalia was full of laughter, kind, and wasn't arrogant, whilst Bella Jensly was always filled with anger and often annoyed Isha. Everyone looked surprised to see Bella's changes as she seemed strange and unusual. …… Currently, Bella was walking alone due to Sherla had to leave sooner as her cat was sick. "Sigh… how could Sherla leave me just because her cat is sick?" Bella mumbled, annoyed at being left by Sherla. Suddenly, she saw Marco walking toward her. Marco was wearing his soccer uniform. Clearly, he just finished playing soccer every day. Bella thought why didn't the soccer players' legs break due to the relentless training? 'Oops, if I immediately turn around, he'll notice that I'm avoiding him on purpose.' thought Bella. Bella was forced to walk on until they were now standing face to face. Because Bella felt her way was blocked, she tried to walk through the right side, but Marco also followed her direction. When Bella walked to the left side, Marco did the same thing, making Bella frustrated. "Can you move aside? I want to get through!" Bella scolded while pushing Marco. "Are you avoiding me?" Marco asked. "What are you talking about? I just want to get through." Bella said indifferently. "I want to say sorry…" Marco said softly.
