“Maria…could you please clean up table #12 and get table #4 some napkins please” said Mrs. Brown. Ah sure am right on it” I yelled.Okay so she said clean ….. Boom!!! Slam down I go. I closed my eyes as I braced for impact, which apparently wasn’t coming maybe I have super powers and I froze time … yah right. I opened my eyes and found the most soothing color of brown I have ever seen… well in a set of eyes that is they looked concerned and worried.Are you alright” a deep husky voice made an appearance “ I hope you not hurt “ no is what I meant to say was am fine but my voice got the better of me and I made a squeak and he smiled... as in like full teeth smile and it was gorgeous … I jerked out his hands and straightened my uniform . “You should pay attention to your surroundings miss before you hurt yourself” he said in his British accent, I wanted to say thank you but I retorted “I don’t remember asking for advice nor your hand at catching me so why don’t you mind your business and stay out of mine” I was expecting him to look pissed but instead he laughed his head off and complimented me for my joke.Well miss…he said as he dragged on the word expecting me to tell him my name which was not a successful venture, why you ask.. well because by the time he turned in his head to direction I was taking long strides away making sure to leave alot of distance between us two.I safely got to the counter and went back takings orders from the customers till the whole day died. Where do I start, my names are Maria Jade Quincy am a 19 year old waitress and let me tell you it isn’t a fancy job first of all the clients are always right even when they do immoral stuff and don’t get me started off the a*s slaps and griping as well as glancing in skirts, I know all of the clients that have ever stepped in the pages café and I also know the schemes each client plays well.. that is until Mr. Dante woods came to town.It was a rainy afternoon the right mood to read a sci-fi novel when he came in smelling like a wet dog just don’t Mrs. Brown I said that about her country folk cause Mrs. Brown is also British, back to Mr. woods he came straight to the counter like some country sheriff looking for trouble makers and only to look me straight in the eyes and say “MATE”Now am no Australian but am guessing that means buddy… oh well long story short his has been the thorn in my side since then.The doorbell rang signaling a customer’s entrance well … hell here I come ,I say to myself in half depressed and half crying attitude well knowing this was the beginning of a yet tiring day
