A Strange Encounter.

After the Lowlands Pack leaves the pack, the dark days begin.

“Now that I am your Luna…” Encounters like this had become part of my day. “Our Luna is still Marie, not you.” Every time, the same thing. “Still, but I am the future Luna, so you still must show respect, to me.” The same face-off every morning. “I respect who deserves respect.” The same response.  “When I become Luna, you will bow to me.” If we did not get along before.  “Why do you think I will do that if don’t even do that to Alpha Oscar?” Now it was impossible.  “You will, or I will put you in the cells.” Alec coming from behind Taya. “You can do that without proof.” He always comes to her rescue. “Disrespect of the Luna in enough to make you never to see the sunlight again.” Bell rings.

‘Save by the bell.’

“Don’t forget Aleena, we can send you to the cells.” Off they go with the same threat.

The final tests, luckily, I only just come to school for them. The rest of the day was avoiding everyone. I needed to think, I need to get out before they lock me up.

“Everything alright Sis, I didn’t see you all day.” At the end of the tests, I rush to my brother. “Just the usual, harassment by the future Luna and Alpha. If Alpha Oscar gives his post for those two anytime soon, the pack is going down for the horse.” He pats my back. “I don’t think he will leave his position so soon. He likes power.” He was getting closer to the car. “Runs in the family.”

The rest of the car ride was silent, I was feeling like a target to get rid of, and that made me on edge. “Want to go for a run, I need to let some steam out.” He smiled at me. “I have a group study with Lin sorry, Sis.” I did a sigh.  “Seems I will go alone.” We arrived in front of the house. “Don’t go near the eastern border.” I look inquisitively at him. “The NightFall Pack has been moving a lot, and we don’t have the best relationship with them.” That name seems familiar. “The NightFall Pack?” something was off. “Yes, you did not know that to the East is the NightFall Pack Border?” I was doubting him. “I thought it was the East Pack border.” He looks at me like I am crazy. “What never heard that name before. Be careful I must go” He picked up my stuff while I mind link Mom saying I would go for a run before going home, and she said ok, to not be back late. I shifted into my black and white wolf and started running.

‘Orianna, wanna lead? I need to forget everything.’ Her energy picked up. ‘Gladly.’

She runs wildly, just jumping trees, climbing rocks, I could only feel the wind, the pace of the run. We got near the waterfall, and she lied down while we listen to the water. It was been a few days after the ball, I only had news from Pacey from my father. He said after he was released from the hospital, he was demoted, the Alpha said he was lucky to not be in jail. That he was because his new Mate has connections, but he could no longer have a guard, that disobeys his Alpha. I wish I would know that everything is alright with him. I heard a twig break making me jump in place. I looked at the other side of the waterfall, there were a small Grey and black wolf, the colors mingle like he was just rolling on dirt, it was skinny and was looking straight at me. I sniff the air.

‘Rogue’ Growl

He just howls loudly, in a few seconds four more wolves like him come out of the forest. A skinny man with a large beard and long hair comes between them.

“We finally found you, Luna.” Making a bow to me.

‘Luna, why he is calling us that.’

“We have been looking for you, our master wishes to see you.”

I just growl at them. I fell a presence behind me, and a Brown Wolf came to my side and a reddish to the other.

‘You alright Aleena?’ Pacey voice on the pack link. ‘You got here just in time Pacey.’

We all started going near the rogues, one attacks while the man runs away, we fight, I was stronger and bigger than them, so it was easy to level the numbers. Still, one rogue and the man got away. I look at the bodies then at Pacey Wolf. I went back on the waterfall shifted and picked some clothes I always had there, when I got out, Pacey was already dressed. I run to him and hugged him, just to hear a low growl coming from Gloria, I let him go and went to her and hugged her also.

“I was so worried about both of you, I heard Pacey lost his position. And now you are here.” I left Gloria hug, and looked at her, she was smiling, a big aura of happiness around her, but the eyes here sad. “Is everything alright?” They look at each other. Pacey sigh and looks at me. “The Alpha does not approve of your mating, so we are going to Gloria Pack.”

I could not hold it in, and tears started running from my face. “Who will protect me?” I was shaken. Gloria hugged me again. “Aleena, don’t give up, your family will support you, you already know that they are connected to the Lowlands Pack, they will never let anything happen to you.” I was crying, for them, for me.  “I can’t put my family in this.” They change the subject.

“By the way, why were rogues here?” I clean my tears.  “I don’t know the man in the middle just called me Luna and said that his master wants to talk to me.” Looking at each other.  “Aleena you need to tell de Alpha this.” I nod no. “Do you think he will believe me? He never believes me.” Gloria let go of the hug and hold my hands. “Come with us Aleena, my pack will help you.” It was a way out but, “I can’t leave like that also. I don’t know what to do.” Pacey sighs, he understands the value I put on the family. “First, we will bring you home, and talk to your parents, they will have an idea of what to do.”I start to wonder. “Why would a rogue want me?”

“Let’s go home. “ We left for my house.

Pacey and Gloria went to the office to talk to my father, while my mother was making sure I was not hurt. After the check-up, I went to my room, to take a bath.

“Sis, mother just told me what happened are you fine?” Barging inside my bedroom, like a brother does or not. “I am ok, Pacey and Gloria got there just in time.” I was drying my hair with the towel.  “You fought against rogues?” I look at him, breathing heavy, he must have run from Lin's house.  “It was strange, I was chilling after the run, and they came from the other side and started calling me Luna, and that they found me, and I had to go see their master. I do not understand.”I sit on the bed. “That is strange.” He sits beside me. “What could they want with me?” My brother was lost in thoughts. “Could they possibly know about the Mate thing?” I put the towel on my lap. “How could they? They had to be on the ball to know.” He looks at me. “Not exactly, they could have seen when we helped Ginny, we were not careful that time also.” I put my head to think.  “I don’t think, the Warriors for Alpha Glen would have smelled rogue a mile away.” He gives up and flops on my bed. “Then what? I can only think of that, most rogues are still roaming around since the war, still trying to find their mates, if one of them saw what you can do, even if they don’t fully understand, they will try to have your power to find their mates.” I twist and adjust to look at him. “They don’t need to kidnap me I can help them.” He makes a strange sound,  “Since when rogues are welcome in pack lands Aleena?”I understand his way of thinking. “Right, can we find a way to help them before they try doing that again?” He puts his shoulders on the bed so he can see me better.  “Are you crazy, there is no talking to rogues. Aleena they don’t care, they will just grab you and leave!” 

“What if they attack the pack, Allan?” He got up from my bed and looked down on me. “We must be prepared.” With my hands on my lap. “Do you think Alpha Oscar will be happy knowing that I am the cause for a rogue attack?” There was a silence between us, we knew the truth.  “You still part of the pack Aleena.” He put his hand on my head patting.  “I don’t know Allan. I do not know.” I had lost hope, of ever becoming part of this pack, even already being part of it.

“Father will help you, don’t forget, he will find a way to keep you out of this.”
