After a night of having my own little pity party, I had come to some conclusions. Chance was right about one thing — I needed to get help. But I didn’t want to use Chance’s money to do it.
I had health insurance through work, and I could get the help I needed on my own. It was important to me to do this on my own without having someone pushing me to do it or paying my way through it.
My reaction to what Chance had said had been based on embarrassment. I didn’t want anyone to know what I’d put up with from Logan. I didn’t want anyone to know that I wasn’t myself anymore. Even though that had obviously shone through more often than I had realized.
