Chapter 24  Daphne The day at the office was busier than usual. My mind was still tangled with conflicting thoughts about Jake, and the work kept piling up. I decided to take a short break—a much-needed breather. That’s when I noticed a message from Sofía on my phone screen. It was written in all caps: “IT’S URGENT, WE NEED TO TALK NOW.” I immediately grew worried. Any message from Sofía that began with “it’s urgent” rarely meant anything good.
