RED FLOWER: The house on fire

503 Words
It wasn't much long that took me to learn latin and soon after that I was done reading all the weird books. They all were about places with some uncanny names. Calanaut, Tsurlagol, Procampur and what not. They all were referred as forgotten realms with really really weird culture and inhabitants. Well, its fun to return to the fantasy world with something other than games. There even was some phrase written in each one of those books somewhere for atleast once. Tho I don't clearly remember what was it because I had to go through worse stuffs. It was on that fateful day. I hope that I don't sound like an old hag but it hurts, remembering that day. It feels like my whole body is burning. It so happened... I was picking fruits and vegetables out in the lawn which was very big considering the place where and how we lived. Grocery shopping was infrequent for us as almost everything grew around us. So, soon after that I heard a loud crashing noise followed by an eye blinding - ear deafening thunder. I am generally not afraid of lightening but this one gave me a bad feeling. I decided to finish up and leave as soon as possible but to my utter surprise in that dark evening I saw black clouds coming out of red flower just where my home was. When I reached there, my uncle and aunt were busy putting off the fire. It was really very shocking for me. Just then I remembered that I had kept the red jade pendant of my mom in the library. I always kept it there as it was the last momento of her and I spent almost all of my time in that humongous room. I rushed in to bring it back. The moment I entered the drawing room I saw a black figure in a hood with a scythe. It was most horrific moment for me. All of my hair raised as I got goosebumps. The smell of burning hair filled up my nose as I felt cold tingling sensation in midst of a burning hall. The shoadow disappeared as soon as I blinked. Ignoring what I saw I rushed into the library. I saw the pendant. It seemed as if it was glowing for a split second. 'Everything's only for a second', I thought. I held the pendant and heard an echo...like someone was whispering in my ears... "Travelling thruh a distans land, From the forest of tortus soul, An oath, be taken by Halo, On sacrare fiesta Be slayed the malus bestia." That's the phrase written in all of those books from the weird shelf. Just as I turned a burning pillar fell on me and lost consciousness. Now, its all dark as if I am dying. I can hear my aunt sobbing and uncle soothing her. Sirens are wailing, probably the fire barricades. They are talking about a dead person charred to death and his name... Its 'MICHAEL'.
