The shrouded secrets

Foxes were a common sight but not other big predators. It wasn't really a forest but then too the forest was not far away and the trees planted by the Michael's ancestors had grown in numbers almost making it impossible to distinguish from where the forest boundary really starts. The place where he was living now was not any different than what a normal ancestral home looks like. Not worn out but huge, it was well maintained but the only thing that was uncomfortable was villa's location. This villa was built far away from main city and had no neighbors to count for. This was a strange place to live indeed but it didn't bother Michael anymore. He somehow preferred this way of living rather than the hustle in the city. This villa had a long range of history attached to it made by his ancestors. Uncle Thomas told Michael that they are the descendants of brave warriors of the sea who were known far and wide starting of the Caribbean Islands tailing the heavenly place from where the pole star came. They were robbers, some followed their codes, some didn't. Treated as an outcasts, still chasing their dreams. They were called pirates and their magical and thrilling adventures were narrated by the flowing waves of the sea. For them, sea was the most beautiful thing and its call, no one could ignore to set sail. That was the time when pirates lived. Long before the history that we generally study, pirates existed long before everyone started to record events for history. But the Sovereign family has recorded their life dating back to 2700BC. Believe me, that ancient history this massive home possessed within its burning hearth. And the most interesting of all things, the Sovereign family of Michael was most wanted at that time and to save their lives they had built uncountable trap doors in this home to save their lives at crucial moments. Uncle Thomas told Michael that there were many books in the library eating dust and had each and every minuscule detail of this villa and many more. These words of his uncle hit the curious mind of Michael for good. He was too curious to find about the hidden secrets of the place where he lived. So, this is the reason for its eerie location, no wonder the area stretches far and wide. I have to find all the trapdoors, let's see how much this secrets this place holds in reality. Slowly, as the time passed, Michael had turned 21 and during these years he had read almost all the books in the library which were still eligible. He never left his studies too and as he majored in arts he was good at drawing and music. According to the clues he got from books, Michael drew a blue print of the house and found there were many hidden passages either beneath the floor or behind the walls. You just need to adjust some candle sticks, pull the lever or push a wooden plank and the secret would reveal itself.
