I looked at Braxton. Who the hell was Maximus? Where did that name come from? What was he talking about? I thought Eva liked Duke. So many questions were running through my head right now.
“Huh? Who or what is Maximus? I thought Eva said she plays with Duke?” I asked him.
“Um, well. There is Duke, but there is also Maximus. I’m close to Maximus. Um… so you could say, um, well, I guess Duke and Maximus are kinda like dogs, but they are not dogs,” Braxton stuttered to explain.
What? That’s confusing. What is like a dog that isn’t a dog? Does he even know what he is talking about?
“What?” I asked him.
“So, they are like part of the family, but you could say they are like dogs, but they really are not. They could resemble a German Shepherd, I guess. But not really,” he said
