The Alpha’s Hybrid

The Alpha’s Hybrid CHAPTER 1 Empty. That was how I felt walking in the woods, feeling the breeze in my hair and on my face, feeling the grass in between my toes. This is the only place that makes me feel alive, safe, and wanted, but I can't stay here for too long. There have been stories of rogues lurking around in the forest. Just yesterday Paul got attacked by a rogue when he was on patrol, thank the goddess he wasn’t hurt because there were other guards on patrol out there too. It was already 5 pm the sun was already setting, “I have to get back to the pack house” I thought to myself I walked back to where my bag was wore my shoes, and headed to the pack house. On my way back to the house I saw the familiar house from when I first got here, I can remember the Luna saying that it’s the house of a really powerful witch, she’s the head of the witches of the Blue moon pack and she was also once the head of the Elders council ( Council of Old werewolves and witches which guide the people), together with the Alpha, she's a leader and guardian of the pack. While walking to the house I began to think about my parents again and the events of the past few days. Everything is happening so fast, I am still trying to wrap my head around everything. Ever since my entire pack was murdered by the Red blood pack which is the most notorious Rogue pack in all of America, my life has been a rollercoaster. I have felt so alone, like everything that has happened is all my fault. It all happened just a few days ago, I was getting ready to go into the woods behind the house for a walk but I had a strong feeling not to go because something was going to happen, it didn’t just feel like a feeling, it felt like a warning, like I was being warned of something that was coming, but I just shrugged off the feeling. My mum was grilling meat in the backyard, we were going to have a family grilled dinner in the backyard. I was headed towards the woods when I heard Mum say “Annabelle come help me over here” “But mum!!!! I want to go for a walk” I said in an annoyed tone “You would go for a walk like you always do, but first you have to help me make dinner” she said “And don't forget that you have to be back early for dinner so that you can eat and get your things ready for tomorrow, it’s a big day for your brother and we have to be there on time” Mum continued, exaggerating the word “on time” The next day was the pack’s White Crescent party where the wolves who have gotten and marked their mates are accepted as new members of the pack and we had to be present because my elder brother Andrew Winters who had just returned from his trip in China has met his mate Eloise and they are taking part in the celebration. “Dad tell mum that I am not always late, all the time” I said rolling my eyes My dad Anthony and my brother Andrew were setting up the table for dinner, “Babe, Belle isn’t always late all the time, she’s always late most of the time” Dad said as he and Andrew burst into laughter “Why are you laughing, nobody asked for your input” I said in an annoyed tone to Andrew “Awnnnn I love you too baby sis” Drew said and I just rolled my eyes and smiled. Eloise was coming out of the house holding the table cloth and handling it over to Drew before she went over to help mum. Since Eliose was helping, mum finally let me go into the woods, after she threatened to kill me if I didn't come back early for dinner. I went to the lake, ran around, and played in the water and then all of sudden I had a surge in my stomach, it was that familiar feeling again from before I came to the lake, but what could it be??and why is it stronger??? why now?? why am I feeling this way?? I asked myself. I am probably just feeling paranoid and excited for tomorrow I though to myself and shrugged off the feeling, and continued playing with the water The water was so warm I soaked my leg in it, closed my eyes, and lay on the ground and slept. After about an hour, I picked up my phone to check what time it was, “s**t” I said, “mum is going to kill me” so I stood up, picked my phone, wore my shoes and jogged back to the house, but before I got to the house I could hear faint noises and screams so I ran, the closer I got, the louder the screams got and I began to run faster to make sure everything was okay and that was when I saw smoke and fire coming from our pack. I ran to my house and it was on fire I couldn't go into the house, fear began to engulf me and I started shouting for my parents and I ran to the front of the house still shouting, and then, I saw Eloise on the front lawn gasping for air. I ran to her and said “Eloise what happened here, are you ok?? Where is everyone??” she managed to get some words out and she said “your parents got called by the alpha that there were rogues in the town and they left to the pack house, Andrew was inside the house when the rogues came and he fought and killed some of them before they finally killed him” Eloise was crying and suddenly the crying stopped and I checked to see if she was still breathing but she had died!!!!!!, in my arms!!!!! I couldn't believe what just happened, Eloise is dead !!!!!! I couldn’t stop crying, the tears were just pouring down uncontrollably. I gently placed Eloise’s body on the floor and closed her eyes, I stood up and ran to the pack house, on my way to the pack house was when I saw the most gruesome scene ever in my entire life, it made me stop In my tracks, blood everywhere, guts everywhere, basically all the people I lived with, played with, went to school with, ate with we're, just there, lifeless and dead, at that moment I knew that all was lost, but I still had a sliver of hope, hope that my parents would be alive hope that they were somewhere well, and hiding, away from all this. I finally got to the pack house and I was dumbfounded I saw my parents dead on the floor side by side, I ran to their lifeless bodies, got on my knees put my face in my hand, and began to cry profusely. I couldn't believe all that was happening, I was with them just a moment ago and now, they are gone, just gone. And all of a sudden, I felt a hand grab me by my wrist, I raised my head in fear and saw that it was my mum “don't let them find you Belle run” she said in a low tone just before she took her last breathe and just then I realized that I needed to run like h*ll. And I gathered all the strength I had left in me and I ran and ran and ran into the woods like my life depended, on it because it did. CHAPTER 2 Fear, This was my main driving force, it was the emotion that was keeping me alive, the emotion that has made me safe so far. After my mum told me to run I have been running for what felt like days now so that I could put a lot of distance between me and the people who just murdered my entire pack. Whenever I stopped, I couldn't even sleep or eat and I barely drank any water, the events just kept playing in my head over and over again all the time. One moment I was with my family and poof like smoke they were all gone and I wasn't going to see them again. I keep having nightmares, where I wake up and cry, the tears just keep pouring out, and the woods where I usually feel safe is now a place where I am, out of fear. I came across a house in the forest it was old, it looked deserted but I was too afraid to go inside, it could be filled with rogues or black magic witches which use werewolves for sacrifices I thought to myself, I just left the house and continued to wherever I was going. On the 3rd day, I saw a river and drank some water, I also managed to get some sleep because it felt like my body was shutting down due to lack of food and sleep, so I had rest. A few hours later I felt a tap on my shoulder but I thought it was a rabbit, then I felt the tap again this time it was much more harder than before, and I jumped up in fear and I saw a big brown wolf with big teeth looking straight at me and a man dressed like a soldier with a gun pointed towards me. I was so scared thinking that the Red blood rogues had found me and I was going to die like everyone else. “Who are you and why are you here” The soldier brought me out of my thoughts and the gun was still pointed towards me. I was scared out of my mind, and I couldn't even speak “Speak now before I have my friend here rip your head off,” the man said again with the wolf growling at me “My name is Annabelle please I just need a place to stay, I didn't mean to cross into your territory I just have nowhere to go,” I said with tears in my eyes. Immediately the soldier's eyes went black with golden rings in them and I just figured that he was mind linking his alpha “Stand up and walk slowly,” he said, immediately I stood up and began to walk slowly, we walked for 20 minutes before we finally got to the pack. We walked into the pack and I was in awe, it was very big, bigger than my pack and it was very beautiful, children were running and playing around, soldiers were training, and werewolves who just turned were learning to control their turning and witches practicing their magic, I have never seen witches before because we never had them in our pack but we usually hear stories of how powerful they are. Everyone was just busy doing one thing or another, everything was so organized. The same way I was looking at everyone in awe is the same way they were also looking at me in surprise and I wasn't shocked because I had blood, dirt, and mud on me and my hair was everywhere and I didn't even have shoes on, I was looking so out of place and the soldier was still pointing a gun at me We walked past everyone and we finally reached the Pack’s mansion it was magnificent it looked like mansions from the early centuries it was old yet strong and beautiful, we passed a walkway that led to the back of the pack house and we were walking a little further until we got to door in the ground, it looked like an underground storage unit. We entered the door and it was a Dungeon, it was dark, smelly, noisy and it had the stench of death. There were rows of cells criminals, traitors, and rogues in it, I was so scared, this place was giving me the creeps, it is a place for criminals and I am not a criminal, I thought to myself. We went on further into the noisy dungeon before the soldier found an empty cell and put me in it, I was a little happy that the cell was empty and not very dirty when the soldier cut me off from my thoughts “You will stay here till you have been checked out, to make sure that you don't pose a threat to the pack,” the mean soldier said. I was so tired so I just found a place to sit on the floor that wasn't as dirty as the entire cell. I sat down and thought about how my life went from normal to over in a flash before I finally slept off. I dreamt about a beautiful woman who came to meet me in my cell, she said she was a luna but I didn't get the name, it felt so real like it wasn't a dream. I woke up immediately from my sleep when I heard a loud bang on my cell gate, “stand up little wolf, the Luna is here to see you” immediately I stood up to my feet, and I went close to the cell gate to see who exactly was here to see me when I heard a smooth and thrilling voice say “Hello my name is Rachel Moon of the Blue moon pack, but you can call me Luna Rachel” then I finally saw her face with the little ray of sun that was coming into the cell. She was really beautiful with big blue eyes, a heart-shaped face with long straight black hair that had little strands of grey hair, full rose lips, and a pointy nose. This is the woman I saw in my dreams, how come she's here??? How is this even possible?? I thought to myself, ok this is already getting weird. The name of the pack sounded so familiar but I couldn't quite place it, I was trying to remember when I got cut off from my thoughts “Paul here told me that he saw you at pack border,” she said pointing at the asshole soldier who put me here “Yes like I told Paul,” I said exaggerating Paul with a sassy tone “My name is Anabelle Winters I am from the White Crescent pack, just a few days ago my entire pack alongside my family was murdered by the Red Blood rogues, I am the last survivor of my pack and I have been running ever since. I didn't mean to enter your territory, I was just very tired and I slept off” I said explaining to the Luna “Did you say the White Crescent pack???” Luna Rachel said “Yes that's what I said, I am sorry but why am I not talking to the alpha, why am I talking to his wife??” I said while raising my eyebrows “Hmm well the alpha and beta are both not around, I will send a message to the elders' council to check out your story and look into It, but you will stay here till that is done,” Luna Rachel said while walking out. I went into the back of the cell and sat on the floor, my mind going back to how I saw luna Rachel before I even met her. It's so weird I have been getting this crazy feeling and me seeing things happen before they happen. Omg!!!!! I hope I am not going insane, the next thing I would probably do is bite someone or rip my clothes off I thought to myself, no it can't be, “I am so stupid and paranoid, why would I even think that, I just can't wait to get out of here,” I said to myself in a low tone. A day had passed with me just thinking about my life, my family, and this nasty cell when immediately I had what looked like a vision. I was being led out of the dungeon by a soldier I couldn't see his face quite well and I went into an office where there was an old woman with the Luna, they were talking in silence, just almost immediately, I was out of the trance again. What the hell, it happened again this time, I wasn't even asleep which means it's a big deal, I was still trying to place everything together when I heard footsteps coming towards my cell. The steps stopped at my cell, I looked up and it was another soldier “The luna would like to see you, get up,” the guy said with no emotion whatsoever. I got up and the soldier lead me out of the dungeon exactly just like my vision. We got to the beautiful pack house, this time, we entered the mansion and I think the soldier heard me when I gasped in admiration, it had a big stairway leading to the top, a big and shiny chandelier that could light up an entire town, red, soft velvet carpet that makes you just want to touch it and sleep on it, beautiful paintings on the wall, gold adornments everywhere in the mansion, it was so beautiful. We went up the stairs and headed to Luna’s office, the soldier knocked, “come in “ we heard faintly from inside, he opened the door and guided me inside before he closed the door behind me. The Luna was in the room with an older woman, she wasn't too old but she was older than the luna. She has short grey hair, with an oval face and dimples that showed whenever she talked, she was very beautiful all around which just made me believe that everyone in this pack was like walking gods and goddesses, they are all so beautiful. “Belle, this is Helen she's a very powerful witch and also our elder. I'm sure you saw the house at the edge of the pack, she's the one who lives there” Luna Rachel said cutting me off from my thoughts “Hello Belle,” Helen said as she took my hand into hers, immediately I went into a trance I could see her life and she could see mine, it was like our minds were linked together and we could see each other's memories. Chapter 3 Shock, I quickly removed my hand from hers in fear “What the hell just happened,” I said in shock “Extraordinary, you have no idea of what you are or what you can do,” Helen said not as a question but as a statement “What do you mean by that??? what was that??? What just happened right now??” I said trying to get some answers “Ok I see that you two are getting cozy, but can someone explain to me what just happened,” Luna Rachel said also trying to understand what happened. “What was the reply from the elders' council” Helen asked the Luna “They said that the rogues were in search of a werewolf who also possesses the powers of a witch, but she is stronger than any witch or werewolf, they called her THE HYBRID, they also said that the hybrid is an abomination and also a very dangerous creature which needs to be killed,” Luna Rachel said looking at me in realization. “Omg did you just say Killed!!!” I said in fear “Belle here is the hybrid the rogues were looking for, they kill your entire pack because they don't know who exactly is the hybrid,” Helen said as she was looking at me “Omg, so it is my fault, everything happened because of me,” I said as tears rolled down my face “We need to put her back in the cell, the elders' council said she's dangerous,” Luna Rachel said as she was about to attack me “No!!!!” Helen shouted as he raised her hand and made the Luna freeze “She's the reason I left the council, I made a promise to her mother that I would train her and keep her safe and away from danger, you don't have to cry again,” Helen told Luna Rachel as she looks at me “You knew my mother,” I said looking back at Helen “She was an amazing person, she loved you and her entire family, I owe this to her and I made a promise to her to watch over you. She knew that a day like this would come but not so soon, I am sorry for your loss” Helen said in a sad tone “Rachel don't attack her, the council doesn't know anything about hybrids, they are just ignorant and scared of what they don't know. I will release you now but you have to promise not to attack her” Helen said looking back at Luna Rachel as she released her. “Well, you could have just told me that, instead of freezing me with your powers. I believe you and I know you won't protect her if she could harm anyone. I give you my word that I won't harm her” Luna Rachel said “Have you turned yet??” Helen asked looking at me “Not yet, my birthday is in a couple of days,” I said as I cleaned my tears away from my eyes “No wonder you didn't know, your powers will manifest fully on the day you turn, if you don't know how to control your emotions, it can be very dangerous for you and everyone around you,” Helen said “I can help you, train you to be better, to keep your emotions in check,” Helen said looking at me before turning to the Luna “Well you won't stay here in the pack house, you will say with Helen in her cabin. When you have learned and I am sure you aren't a danger to anyone, then you would come back here” Luna Rachel said to me “You won't only practice your magic, you would also train with the other werewolves in hand-to-hand combat” Luna Rachel continues. Immediately I entered into a trance where I saw a guy coming upstairs, knocking, and entering the office. “Someone is coming,” I said looking at the door “Did you see who it was?” Helen asked looking at me “No, I just saw a glimpse,” I said trying to remember if I saw a face. “Well, you need to learn...”Helen was saying when she got cut off by a knock on the door “Knock knock” We all looked to the door “Come in,” Luna Rachel said seating on the table. A tall and handsome man walked in, he was really cute and his face lit up whenever he smiles, he has a nice set of teeth. He gave off a powerful aura but not very strong, like that of an Alpha, so I just figured that he was either a Beta or a Gamma. “You came at the right time, meet Beta Travis he's the one in charge of the pack while my son isn't around, he just arrived from a 2-day trip with his mate this morning,” Luna Rachel said looking towards Travis “So you are the new wolf everyone is talking about,” He said with an icy tone “Have you checked her out?” He said looking at the Luna. “You know you can't just bring any low life into this pack without doing the regular inspections,” He said bitterly “What the hell is wrong with this guy,” I thought to myself, well I get the fact that he's trying to be protective but he doesn't have to be rude about it “Well, we already checked her,” the Luna said explaining everything to him but leaving out the fact that I am a Hybrid. “The rogues did that, they are already becoming a really big threat. Good thing Calvin is already on his way back” He said looking relieved “I am so sorry for your loss, I usually get into defensive mode whenever I see new people, but you will get used to it,” He said with a wink. I just smiled and rolled my eyes “Calvin is coming home?? he's done with his training???” the luna asked leaning away from the table “Yah he called me yesterday saying he will be home soon but he didn't tell me when exactly he would be home,” Travis said looking at the luna “Why don't you send guards to go pick him up,” Luna Rachel asked “He said not to worry about that” Travis said walking towards the door. “Anabelle will stay with me for the time being, but she will come to the pack house every morning for training,” Helen said calmly making Travis stop in his tracks “Why doesn't she just stay in the pack house,” Travis asked turning back and looking at Helen “We don't want people to panic, that we just took in a stray, and now she's staying in the house, so to avoid that, she will stay with Helen” Luna Rachel said as she went back to sit on the table “Ok that's fair,” Travis said “Anyways I am going to make sure that everything is well in place for the arrival of the Alpha, and I am also going to check on Grace,” Travis said blushing as he finally walked out “You need to clean up and have your bath, you smell, and your cloth is ripped, you also have dirt everywhere,” Helen said giving me a disgusting look. I smelt myself and, well she wasn’t exaggerating because I was so dirty and smelly because of the cell “Well, shall we??” Helen said pointing to the door. We were walking to Helen’s house and I was thinking about everything that happened in the office and how I am the cause of everything that happened to my pack. I was eager to know why the Luna almost attacked me and why the Elders council is so scared of me “Helen I am curious, why did the Elders council tell the Luna to eliminate the hybrid??” I asked catching up to Helen “Well some years ago, the was a hybrid just like you. She was very beautiful and very powerful, witches have a distinct power but Andrea could control the weather, turn easily into a wolf, read minds and do all sorts of incredible things, she had more than one power, she was awesome” Helen said as I was in awe. So would I be able to do all these things I thought to myself “But, she wasn’t with the wolves, she was with the Red blood rogues. Her mate was their alpha and he corrupted her. Both of them wreaked havoc on the entire werewolf and witches all around the world. It was so bad that werewolves and witches had to hide and live among the humans so that they wouldn’t get killed” she continued with a sad look “Before her mate came, she was awesome. She would play with everyone, she would help around in the coven, but after she met Jacob she started practicing dark magic and she became unstoppable” Helen said with watery eyes “Did you know her??” I asked looking into her eyes “Yes I did, she was my best friend, we were inseparable. She didn’t care that she was a hybrid, she was so humble and loving, and when she went away I missed her so much” “If she was so powerful how was she stopped??” I asked Helen wanting to know more about Andrea “Well, the head of our coven took the 3 most powerful witches in the coven and their mates to cast a spell that would separate her wolf form from her body and kill the 2 species separately. I was one of the witches that performed the spell, and I lost my mate and the 6 other people that day. I am the only one alive.” Helen said as she looked so sad. I didn’t even realize that I was already crying until I felt the teardrops on my cheeks “Omg that’s horrible, I am so sorry for your loss,” I said cleaning the tears from my face “Why would you still help me after all that happened to you?” I asked Helen “When the witches died I inherited their powers and one of them was seeing the future. I formed the elders' council to keep balance among both the werewolves and witches and to fight Andrea, but 5years ago I got a vision and I saw you. I saw that you were a hybrid but not like Andrea, you will be much more if you have the right mentor, and your mate will play an important role in your development too” She said looking at me trying to make me understand.
