Chapter 3: Anna’s POV

“Oh my gosh!!!!” Lara said screaming,

I used my hands to close my ears wow that was loud. Even people having started looking at our direction, but she did not care, she just kept on doing her thing “Wow! This is the best thing ever, Miss soon to be the CEO PA” she said still screaming but now with her hands spread and her head up while her eyes are close like she wants to fly to the sky

Oh Lord why is she overreacting like this

“Stop it” I stand up and grab her both hands down while laughing quietly

And then I gave everyone that is looking at us sign to not worry and they went to their business

Then I grab a chair and drop Lara to sit there while she was laughing and smiling

Immediately she sit down, she drag her chair closer to me and whispered a little bit calm down now “At least now you can leave this our God-forbid-Director that wants to kill you with nonsense work” she said smiling widely

I just shake my head smiling because I can’t stop

“So when did she say you are resuming” Lara asked still whispering

“Tomorrow” my response seems to shock because I face expression change a little bit

“Wow, that quick. Why can’t they wait? So I won’t see my bestie everyday starting from tomorrow” she said pretending to wipe tears from her eyes

I know she’s a bit sad that Im starting my promotion so quickly

“Awwwwn my baby” I said hugging her trying to soothe her a little bit

“So that means I won’t be seeing you everyday”

She said still hugging me with a sad expression

“Stop overreacting” she said pulling out the hug to look at her and smiling “we are literally living together. We will still see each other everyday” but the response did not seem to lift her mood

“So you don’t know” she said she seems to make me curious

“Know what”

“That the PA follows the CEO everywhere until he is done with work. You will have impromptu traveling to different countries, okay this one is good at least you will able to see country like France, Morocco even though it is for work you will still different countries even the ones I have not seen wow that so good. Even this US..” her tapped out of her trans

“Concentrate” I said

“Oh sorry you know me I get distracted easily” she said shyly smiling “anyways the summary is that you don’t have an exact work hour. We may not for two days straight or even one week because of your work”

Ok this means to shock me a little bit. I did not know “So that means we won’t be seeing each other” I said sadly “or should I just reject it”

“Don’t even think of it. This is a life changing experience, didn’t you see the salary they will be paying you. It is high and you will have your own personal designer and makeup artist for events. Didn’t you see everything on the email they sent you” “don’t miss this lifetime opportunity” she said shaking me maybe to call me out of my stupidity

“You know I have not read the email. I only gave it to you because Mr. Benson called me to his office immediately i said my goodbye to Mrs. Linda” I said sadly

“Don’t worry babe, Im happy for you so don’t be sad.”she said squeezing my hands lightly “It’s true, what did Mr. Benson told you when you reached his office”

“He said that the HR has told him about my promotion and that I should just help him finish his proposal” I said which made Lara squeeze her face in a disgust manner

“I hate what that man is doing to you. He can’t even tell you to take the rest of the day off so that you can pack properly. And what did you say regarding the proposal” she said looking at me with expectation

“I said yes”

“What?! What the f**k is wrong with you? So that means we won’t go for any celebration party or anything” she said shocked

“I just can’t leave his work like that, you know I had promised to finish it this night before and I can’t break my promise” I said and Lara she just slap her hands on her forehead in frustration

“Babe why are you like this” she said sadly “ just forget it, but have you seen the CEO’s face before”

“Nope” I replied calmly “I did not see any reason to search for his face online until now. I think I will do that when I reach home because I’m really busy now or do you have it in your phone”

“Yes I have it. Do you know that it is not easy to see the CEO’s face online. I heard after the accident that nobody really knows, he wiped all the pictures of him and his family from the internet, let me even show..”

“Lara come here” someone shout her name from the door interrupting her from talking

“Ahhhh again, why don’t you guys want me to talk today properly” she said frustrated and we both turned her head to the door seeing her colleague from the finance department, Larry looking at her also frustrated. Ok here we go, these two are cat and mouse

“You! Lunch break has been over since. Why aren’t you in the office?” Her colleague asked why walking closer to her which made Lara stand up from her seat and walk to him making them meet in the middle of the marketing office

“You are not the boss of me” Lara said now angry at her colleague too “and lunch break was over like just five minutes ago so why are you overreacting”

“Have you forgotten we have a meeting this afternoon” he said now smirking

“Oh f**k” Lara said arranging her herself well and started rushing out maybe to prepare herself for her presentation while Larry is laughing at her that when he finally see me

“Hi Anna” he said and immediately left my department while laughing and I went back to my work.

Later that evening

“Im finally done” I said stretching out of exhaustion and started packing my things to go home and when I checked the time, it was already 8pm. Wow it is really late, I need to go and get a good sleep so that I can prepare for tomorrow.

So packed all my important things while Lara will help me with my other things tomorrow and then I started going home.

As I left the office, I switched off the lights because of course no one is at work, we usually close by 5. I started walking to the elevator, wow everywhere is so quiet that is until I reached the elevator, I saw a man there standing in front of the elevator speaking angrily on the phone

“This elevator is a problem, why do they shut down some floor elevator by this time” he just kept on shouting at the phone. Maybe I just go and talk to him and he is even standing in front of the elevator

“Good evening sir” I said taping the man on his shoulder, the strange man just looked at me and he was really handsome, with his shoulder length hair and face, with good heights and cologne but he was looked at me with disgust and turned back on his phone and that seems to change my mind

Wow that was rude “I just greeted you, you should at least acknowledge my greeting. You may be handsome outside you are really ugly inside” I said taping him and still yet he did not answer me, he just cut his call and elevator the now opened elevator. He is the worse, I hope I never see him again. So I just hissed and used to stairs instead of the elevator and left the company.
