Katie's POV “Hey bestie!” I say “Yeah,” She says “Do you know your favorite band,” I ask “Yeah of course Nickelback,” She says “I got us two front row tickets,” I speak “Really?” She asks in disbelief. “Yeah, but your niece can't come. My mom said she can watch her.” A few days later. “Hey bestie it is the day of the concert. Are you excited?” “No duh of course I am excited,” she says rolling her eyes. I just laughed and continued to get ready for the concert. I was putting on my make up when her niece came crawling into the room. “What’s up Laya,” I say bending down to pick her up. She started talking gibberish and pointing to my makeup. “No baby can’t have any of that,” I say Sorry about her bestie,” She says taking Laya from my arms. “No, it is just fine,” I say and resumed my makeup. A few hours later we were on our way to Pesi Center for the Nickelback concert. When we got to our spots on the floor. The show was about to start. “I can’t believe we are here,” Valerie says almost screaming in excitement. “I know right,” I say smiling at her. I wish Laya was here but then again, she is only 2 months old,” She speaks ‘Yeah, that is understandable,” I say to her kind of smiling but not. A couple hours later Nickelback finally came out on the stage. Mid way through the show something amazing happended. “Is he pointing at me?” I ask Valerie. She nodded and dragged me to the stairs and pushed me up them. “What’s your name little lady?” Chad asks. Holding the mic for me. “Katie,” I say into the microphone. “Give a big round of applause for Katie,” He says and then the whole crowd started clapping. Sometime later the show was about to end when I was about to go back to the floor when that ended the song they were on. And that is when Chad pulled me backstage by the arm. “What are you doing?” I ask him as I followed him backstage to a room. He didn’t respond until we got to his dressing room. Little did I know the drummer had brought back my best friend to his dressing room. The next thing I knew Chad’s lips were on mine and someone was throwing flower pedals on us as we kissed. We slowly pulled away and looked in one another’s eyes. We stayed like this until someone cleared their throat from behind us. “You are on again in 5 Mr. Kroeger,” He nodded and turned to me and asked. “Can you sing?” He asks me. “Yeah, somewhat why?” I say back. “Sing with me?” He asks, holding out his hand. I nodded and took his hand. “Please welcome back to the stage Nickelback!!!” We all walked out, and I was so nervous. But I calmed down when Chad grabbed and squeezed my hand. When the beat was dropped. I knew what song they were playing. And Chad leaned over and asked me if I knew the lyrics.
