“What can you tell us, Rooster?” I asked as soon as we sat down in his living room, glasses of whiskey in hand. “Your brother has been breaking into and trying to set fires on my land, and considering that’s not all he’s been up to… I’d rather get this sorted sooner rather than later.”
“What are you going to do with him when you find him?” Rooster raised one eyebrow as he spoke, concern evident in his voice. Christopher might be an ass, but he’s still Rooster’s brother.
“That depends,” I replied. “It depends on anything else he’s been up to, why he’s doing it, you know the drill.”
