CHAPTER 1
In the mystical realm of Veridia, the pale light of the moon painted the world in an ethereal glow. Amongst the ancient forests and towering castles, lived Alora, a beautiful strong, and fiercely independent werewolf with dark brown eyes, a curvy figure, and long blonde hair. She roamed the moonlit nights with grace and power, embodying the spirit of the wild. But in Veridia, destiny had its own design, and arranged marriages were the norm for those of royal blood. Tonight marked the initiation of a Moonlight ceremony where werewolves bound by Destiny would unite in matrimony.Clan, one of the most esteemed werewolf families in the kingdom. However, she harbored a deep resentment for the traditions that sought to control her life and determine her love life. The Moonlight ceremony was both a blessing and a curse, a tradition that dictated her fate. Her fiery spirit burned brighter than the moon, and she yearned for a life where her heart and desires dictated her path. As the day of her arranged marriage approached, Alora’s stepsister, Celestia, watched her with envy and malice. Celestia, cunning and manipulative, desired the position Alora held, being the fated mate of the prince. Fueling rumours of the prince’s alleged cruelty and disability, she hatched a sinister plot to taint Alora’s fate. Before the eve of the wedding, In the grand hall, werewolf families gathered, their eyes expectant as Alora’s fated mate, Prince Ethan prepared to make his choice. The air hummed with a mix of excitement and trepidation, Alora’s stepsister secretly left her pack to go meet Prince Ethan in the grand Hall because he couldn't meet Alora before the wedding as the tradition demands. Celestial, Alora's step sister lied to Prince Ethan that Alora had sent a word to him and she would like to convey the message privately to him as requested by Alora. When the Prince and her had gone away from the grand Hall to a more private place, celestia whispered venomous words into Prince Ethan’s ear, coaxing him to have an intention of rejecting Alora on the wedding day in favour of another. On the eve of the wedding, as the stars adorned the night sky, Alora found herself in the secluded grove near her home wandering in her thoughts. The moon’s silver light cascaded through the canopy, illuminating her radiant form. The gentle breeze carried the scent of pine, mingling with the delicate fragrance of wildflowers. Little did she know that her life was about to change forever. A rustling in the bushes caught her attention, and she turned to see a figure emerge from the shadows. It was Celestia, her stepsister, with a wicked glint in her eyes. Her flowing dress seemed to dance with the shadows, mirroring the deceit that lurked within her heart. “You should know, Alora,” Celestia sneered, her voice dripping with venom, “the prince has rejected you. He finds you unworthy of his hand, for you lack the grace and poise a royal bride should possess.” Alora’s heart pounded in her chest, and anger surged through her veins. She refused to believe Celestia’s lies, yet doubt gnawed at her. “That can’t be true,” Alora retorted, her voice laced with determination. “I won’t let you destroy my chance at happiness.” Celestia chuckled darkly, reveling in her triumph. “Then prove it. Tomorrow, stand before the prince and the entire court, and witness his rejection for yourself.” With those haunting words, Celestia vanished into the shadows, leaving Alora bewildered and distraught. In that moment of vulnerability, she knew she had to protect her family, her pack, from the disgrace her stepsister sought to bring upon them. Alora made a fateful decision: she would become her own rescuer. The morning sun rose, and Alora stood before the grand royal palace, her heart fluttering with a mixture of trepidation and defiance. As she stepped into the opulent hall adorned with sparkling crystals, all eyes turned to her. The air was heavy with anticipation. Her footsteps echoed through the hall, but with every step, her resolve solidified. She was no longer the timid girl her stepsister wanted her to be; she was a force to be reckoned with. As she approached the prince, her steps faltered slightly, she started developing cold feet but she straightened her posture, refusing to show any weakness. “Your Highness,” Alora spoke with unwavering confidence, her voice echoing through the hall, “I am here as a bride of the Moonblood Clan, ready to fulfil my duty to the kingdom.” The prince’s eyes met hers, and for a brief moment, Alora glimpsed a flicker of emotion that belied his rumoured cruelty. But before she could discern more, his expression turned impassive. “You are not the bride I have chosen,” he declared, his voice steady as stone. Alora’s heart sank, and the weight of rejection bore down upon her. She was prepared for this outcome, yet it hurt more than she expected. But she wouldn’t let it break her. Gathering her strength, she lifted her chin defiantly. “Then, Your Highness, I request to be a substitute bride. My family’s honour is at stake, and I won’t allow your rejection to tarnish their name.” Alora spoke with so much charisma and courage. The court erupted into whispers and gasps, but Alora’s unwavering determination silenced them. The wicked stepsister, celestial was also surprised because she didn't expect Alora to show such great courage after being rejected by the Prince. The prince regarded her with newfound interest, his eyes searching her face for any sign of weakness. “Very well,” he finally replied, “you may be a substitute bride. But know that I will never accept you as my mate.” Alora’s journey had begun, and the moon’s song echoed in her heart, guiding her through the darkness of rejection and toward the dawn of defiance. She vowed to prove herself, not just to the prince, but to herself and all who doubted her strength. Little did she know that the choices she made on this moonlit night would set her on a path of self-discovery, love, and rebellion that would forever change the fate of Veridia.
