"Which Sonia?" Beckham asked as he hoped it was not who he was thinking it to be.
"Which other Sonia do we know?" Fred cast a disdainful look towards him and he collapsed onto the chair.
"Do not be too surprised, I just don't know why Andre decided to marry her now after leaving her," Fred was confused about this particular piece of information.
"When is the wedding?" Beckham inquired.
"Tomorrow," Fred replied.
"What? How do you know so much?" Beckham asked with all curiosity.
They were all friends but it seemed Andre did not trust him that much to give him information about his life.
"Like I said earlier on, my sources informed me about it," Fred replied while he took a sip out of his glass of wine.
"Your sources are really well informed," Beckham said with a jealous voice while he bit his lips.
"What can I say? It is goof to be well informed so as to avoid misinformation and surprises, just like what you are facing right now," Fred taunted with a smug smile which caused Beckham to clench his fists in anger.
"Let's go home," Andre suddenly stood up as he walked over to them.
Despite finishing a whole bottle of wine, he did not look like someone who was drunk.
He still looked sober but the dark look in his eyes was enough to scare someone away from him.
"I will drive him home," Fred volunteered and he nodded before the three walked out of the private room.
Fred dropped Andre at home and once he stepped into his room, he sat on his bed with a melancholic smile.
"I have missed you so much Sonia, I did not mean to hurt you, it was necessary for me to leave you or you would have ended up dying, I could not lose you, I am sorry for pushing you away when you needed me the most," Andre cried.
For the first time, a grown up man cried alone.
He thought about the few moments he spent with Sonia and he cried the more. His cries were loud, fortunately, he was the only one living in such an huge house or people would have mocked him for crying.
He continued with his cries and he had no idea as t when he fell asleep.
The next morning, Sonia was woken up by her stepmother who had poured a bucket of cold water on her.
She jumped in fright as she rubbed her arms. She was astonished because she never expected to be woke up this way.
"Why did you do this?" She questioned after she had gotten herself back to normal.
Fiona sneered at her, "why are you still asleep? Today is the day you get married to Andre Wallace."
"Oh!" She drawled out..
She seemed to have forgotten about it. Maybe it wasn't that bad for her to get married to her ex.
At least, he would not hurt her the same way her close family hurt her.
"What do I need to do?" She asked which shocked Fiona.
She was not expecting her to accept reality real quick.
"What did you just say?" Fiona asked as she hoped her ears were not playing tricks on her.
"Are you not the one who wants me gone? Now, I have decided to leave, you seem to be shocked," Sonia had an helpless expression on her face as she stared at Fiona who was trying hard to retain her composure.
"Then, have your bath, I will have Tiana bring your dress for you," Fiona was still confused as she walked out of the room with a frown on her face.
Sonia shook her head before she looked at the drenched bed. She sighed a bit before she left it and went into the bathroom.
She would not care about things concerning this house again. Since she had decided to get married to Andre, then she would not be bothered.
They had maids in the house but she had been transformed into a maid, causing the maids to be on a long vacation.
She had her bath and once she was stepped out of the bathroom into her room, she broke into a wide, genuine smile, the first since the past two days.
"Tiana," she called and the girl called Tiana turned to look at her sister.
"Sister," Tiana called coquettishly.
"Do you really have to get married to him?" Tiana asked with tears in her eyes.
A seventeen year old she truly was. She totally depended on her sister and now, her sister was getting married.
"Actually, this is good, at least he can protect you from Fiona's torturing," Tiana spoke with annoyance evident in her eyes.
"Hey, do not say that, she is your mother, you cannot call her by her name, that is wrong," Sonia immediately rebuked her.
"She is not my mom, can you not see the way she treats the both of us, I rather not have a mother like her, we are basically orphans, our father dances to her tunes, so our parents are good as dead," Tiana was blunt in her speech.
Sonia looked at her helplessly. You could not blame the young girl, this was the way their parents treated them and she had to admit with her, they were practically orphans.
"Do not say that outside, we do not want other to hear what you just said," Sonia had to caution her even if she felt the same way.
"Sure, let's get you dressed up, I will make you the most beautiful bride even if you would not have a grand wedding, Andre would not be able to take his eyes off you," Tiana was excited as she handed the dress over to her urging her to dress up.
Sonia dressed up in front of her and Tiana nodded happily. Her sister was blessed with the best curves in the entire town.
"I knew it, the dress would fit you perfectly," Tiana exclaimed excitedly as she watched Sonia twirl.
It might not be a wedding dress but it was something which fit perfectly on Sonia.
It was a gold dinner dress which was a floor-length, strapless gown made of luxurious silk or satin fabric. The dress features a fitted, mermaid silhouette that hugs the body, accentuating Sonia's curves.
The gold color is a warm, sun-kissed shade with a slight metallic sheen, evoking the glamour of ancient treasures. The fabric is intricately embroidered with delicate, swirling patterns that resemble the gentle curves of a vine, perfectly fitting Sonia.
The bodice features a sweetheart neckline, adorned with a delicate, beaded trim that adds a touch of subtle sparkle. The waist is cinched with a delicate, gold belt, complete with a small, crystal-encrusted buckle.
The full, flowing skirt falls in soft folds to the floor, creating a dramatic, red-carpet effect. The dress is fully lined, with a subtle, silk underskirt that adds volume and movement.
It was a dress that signified a new beginning got Sonia. It perfectly fitted her and the gold colour only helped in enhancing her tanned skin.
"Are you not ready yet?" Fiona's voice resounded from outside.
Tiana rolled her eyes a bit before replying, "we are almost ready."
