Come ON Moon Goddess, couldn't you have given me a mate that is worth my status? Match me or be close to my status. A f***ing Omega, with NO wolf. I am mentally palming my face, wouldn't want to upset my weak Luna. How can a weak Luna make me stronger or produce powerful heirs? I hate this! She's not even that cute, just average-looking.
Yes, she did well taking down Chassity, but she isn’t real competition. The only thing she was good at was gobbling d**ks. That mini-fight doesn’t count. As the Luna of a powerful pack, she will need to train. I refuse to have her be bullied due to her status; she will not make me look weak.
I must have upset the goddess for this to happen, she gave me such a strong wolf only to counteract that. Keiry’s wolf, Thanos, is as powerful as me. I wonder if he will have a wolfless omega as a mate as well? Instead of dancing at the banquets, we should have been sniffing the servants to find our mates.
Today is her birthday. I hope she doesn't expect anything from me. I will mate and mark her tonight. That is the best gift that she will ever get from me. Love is not in the cards for me. I have to focus on growing my pack and keeping it safe from rogues and unsavory characters. I am 22 years old; I found my mate a little late, but then again, she is practically a baby.
Moon Goddess, you had 17 years to prepare me for this day. Do you not love me? I sighed as I decided to get things prepared. The ride was quiet enough since Aniyah chose to take a nap. As we neared home I mind link, my sister, Kimmy, to make sure everything was in order.
"Kimmie, we are close. Is the Luna's Chamber prepared?"
"Yes Ash, we just finished. ETA?' I can hear the excitement in her voice.
'About 15 minutes more.' I wished it could be sooner. I need to stretch my legs.
'How is the Luna?’ Looking at Aniyah, I just don’t know the words I should use to describe her current health.
'She is in bad shape, looks like she's been abused.'
'D*mn, those savages! There is something wrong with that Goddess-forsaken pack.' Flinching slightly, I end the mind link. This conversation can be continued at another time.
Aniyah repositioned herself, she appeared to be comfortable. Since she was still asleep, I chose that moment to have a word with Danny. I knew I wouldn’t feel better until I knew he was okay. He is my head warrior, but we have been friends since the playmat in our kindergarten class.
'Hey Danny, are you OK? You know I would've never taken your mate from you, right?' Danny’s shoulder tensed as I intruded on his thoughts.
'I know Alpha, I can't lie and say it doesn't hurt, but we're in our 20s now. I didn't think I would've found her anyway.'
'True enough, will you tell Gabriella?' Danny and Gabriella had been dating for the past 5 years. They met in our senior year of high school when her family transitioned into our pack. Gabriella’s mate had rejected her but turned crazy whenever he saw her around other male wolves.
Since he was the future Gamma of the pack, she was allowed the option to transition into another pack. This was better than having to put the Gamma down for his indecent actions. At the time, my dad was the Alpha and accepted her family because her dad was a top warrior, and her mom was a pack doctor. Both had something good to offer our pack.
'Yes Alpha, she deserves to know. She's been a great girlfriend and if she wants, I can now take her as my chosen mate. She's a good warrior as well.' Whew, that she was. Gabby and Danny are fierce on the training field. I would be honored to have her as our female head warrior. Maybe she can train the new Luna. I made a mental note to ask.
'Very well, I approve. Chassity wouldn't have been good for you.'
'Ha, I feel like I dodged a bullet, Alpha.'
'You did so take tomorrow off. We will let Gamma Leo run training in your place. You need to recuperate.' That got me the response that I was looking for as I saw the genuine smile spread across Danny’s face.
' Thank you, I will do that.' I need to start scheduling breaks and vacations for my pack members. They work so hard, and I feel they more than deserve a vacation or two now and again.
Now that that is handled, let's see how this turns out.
