Mikel covered his ears as Marie shrieked with all the power her little lungs could manage. She had opened several things by now; clothes, books, a few toys and dolls, but the horse was perfect.
She pounced on Mikel and Theo as she hugged them tightly. "Thank you-thank you-thank you!" She kissed them, practically smothering them in violent affection, before running off to play with her new friend.
"Goddess." Theo mumbled. "I haven't seen someone so happy since Melinda got her first credit-card." There were a few chuckles as Melinda smacked Theo upside the head.
"Granny! Granny look! Isn't it pretty?" Marie giggled as she lugged the pony across the room. It was big enough for her to sit on, and being a solid durable piece of plastic it could hold her weight.
