It’s overwhelming. I’m not exactly sure what time I fell asleep, but the next thing I know is I’m leaning against Trevor, in the back of one of his family’s family vehicles.
He stared straight ahead, a stoic expression on his face. His forehead crinkles with stress lines, and I reach over to smooth them out. He looked down at me, his face softening.
“You’re awake,” I stretched in his arms, lifting myself from his lap.
