The Prophecy

Chapter 18

Emily's POV

I was just about to experience my first kiss when there is a knock on my door. Eric quickly puts me down and I scramble to the door to open it. My mom is standing at my door and peeks in to see a very uncomfortable looking Eric sitting on my bed trying to look innocent. I immediately blush... "Good Morning mommy" I say. She looks at me with tears in her eyes and grabs me into a big bear hug "Good morning Emmy, I thought you wouldn't want to call me mommy anymore" she says between sobs. I hold her close to me as tears form in my own eyes... "You and Dad will always be my parents" I say. I notice my dad behind my mom and he hugs the both of us tightly.

"Happy birthday sweet pea" my dad says. "We are waiting down stairs with some lovely breakfast" My mom says to Eric and I. My dad looks at Eric and says "You better take good care of my little girl Mister..." Eric jumps up and walks to us "With my entire life Sir" he says to my dad as he places a hand on my lower back.

We make our way down stairs and I can't help but feel alittle nervous to officially meet my biological parents. Jake runs up to me "Happy birthday sis" and he wraps me in a tight hug... I love him so much already. "Happy birthday brother" I say in return hugging him tightly. The Alpha and Luna stand up from the dining room table and start slowly making their way towards us... "Happy birthday darling" the Luna says slowly reaching for me, her eyes asking permission. I look at my parents nervously and they both nod to me. I wrap my arms around Luna Alice and give her a tight hug. Alpha Jack joins us and hugs us both tightly. Jake puts his arms around the 3 of us and we just stand there in a big hug. I hear a little sniffle behind me and see my mom with tears in her eyes and my dad holding her tightly. I have such a beautiful family already and now I have gained even more family. Eric is standing off to the side with a proud and loving smile on his face.

I have felt like something has been missing for years. I look around the kitchen and realize that I feel complete. The only person that is missing is Aubrey... oh my gosh!! Aubrey!!!! I turn around and run out the kitchen to grab my phone in my bedroom. My battery has died. I plug it in to charge and switch it on. There are multiple missed calls from Aubrey and atleast 10 messages.

*Aubs:

Are you ok Emily?

*Aubs:

Call me!!

*Aubs:

I'm so worried Emmy...

*Aubs:

Answer your phone :(

*Aubs:

I tried calling again but your phone is off. I'm so worried. I tried calling your parents but they are also not answering.

*Aubs:

Jake and Eric's phones are off too.

*Aubs:

I will come over in the morning for your birthday. You better be ok!! I love you.

I look up from my phone to see Eric standing in my doorway. "Are you ok?" He asks. "I'm fine I guess... um... actually... what did you tell Aubrey lastnight? She is coming over and I know she will want answers." I look to the side and bite my lip nervously. He looks at me alittle uncomfortably, "I didn't actually get a chance to explain or say anything to her, it all happened so fast and I was very vague... I'm sorry... I didn't know what to tell her..." he looks guilty. This is not his fault or anything he needs to feel bad about. "It's really ok Eric... this is not your fault or nothing you should be sorry about" I say looking him in the eye.

Then we hear it, the knock at the door. "Here goes nothing" I say while heading downstairs.
