1. ♥️A New Beginning♥️
The morning sky was covered with soft grey clouds as Aria Wilson stood outside the international departure gate, tightly holding her passport against her chest.
She hated goodbyes.
Especially this one.
Her fingers trembled as she looked at the boarding screen one last time.
New York — Boarding in 45 minutes.
She swallowed the lump in her throat.
Beside her stood the only person who had ever made the world feel like home.
Ethan.
He smiled gently, although his eyes were just as red as hers.
“You'll miss your flight if you keep staring at that screen,” he whispered.
Aria laughed weakly before tears slipped down her cheeks.
“I don't want to go.”
Ethan stepped closer.
“You have to.”
She shook her head immediately.
“No... I know it's for my future, but that doesn't make leaving easier.”
For a few seconds neither of them spoke.
The airport was alive with movement—families hugging, children running across polished floors, announcements echoing through the terminal, and luggage wheels constantly rolling against the marble ground.
Yet Aria heard none of it.
All she could hear was her own heartbeat.
Two years ago, she had lost everything.
At eighteen, her parents had died in a tragic car accident while returning home from a family wedding.
One phone call had changed her entire life.
No mother waiting with dinner.
No father reminding her to study.
No family celebrating birthdays.
Only silence.
She had learned to survive alone.
She completed school while working part-time at a small bookstore. Every night she studied until exhaustion because education was the only dream her parents had always believed in.
And somehow...
She had done it.
She earned one of the most prestigious scholarships offered by Columbia University in New York.
A full scholarship for higher studies.
It was the opportunity of a lifetime.
But opportunities sometimes demanded painful sacrifices.
Aria looked at Ethan with tearful eyes.
“What if things change?”
“They will,” Ethan answered honestly.
Her heart sank.
He immediately held her hands.
“But changing doesn't mean ending.”
She looked down.
“We've been together since school.”
“I know.”
“You were there when my parents died.”
“I know.”
“You helped me survive everything.”
Ethan smiled softly.
“And now I'll help you fly.”
That sentence completely broke her.
Aria buried her face against his chest and cried silently.
Ethan wrapped both arms around her, resting his cheek gently over her hair.
“You promised me something,” he whispered.
She sniffled.
“What?”
“That one day you'll become the woman you've always dreamed of becoming.”
Aria smiled through tears.
“You remember?”
“I remember everything.”
Another boarding announcement echoed.
Passengers traveling to New York are requested to proceed toward Gate 18.
Aria slowly pulled away.
Her hands refused to let go of Ethan's.
“I wish you were coming with me.”
“One day.”
“You promise?”
He lifted his little finger like they used to do in school.
“Promise.”
She laughed.
Even now, he still remembered their childish promises.
Aria hooked her finger with his.
For one final moment, they simply looked at each other.
Then Ethan kissed her forehead.
“Go, Aria.”
She picked up her suitcase.
Every step toward security felt heavier than the last.
Before disappearing into the passenger line, she turned around.
Ethan was still standing exactly where she had left him.
He waved.
Aria smiled while crying and waved back.
Neither knew that this goodbye would become the beginning of a life neither of them had ever imagined.
Thousands of miles away...
Deep within the ancient forests surrounding northern territory stood a hidden world that humans never knew existed.
The Silvermoon Pack.
Massive stone buildings surrounded by towering pine trees formed the heart of the werewolf kingdom. Warriors trained beneath the morning sun while younger wolves practiced shifting under the watchful eyes of their elders.
Inside the Alpha Hall, a long wooden table was filled with maps, documents and reports.
At its head sat Kael Blackthorne.
Thirty years old.
Alpha.
Feared by enemies.
Respected by his people.
His dark expression remained unreadable as different pack members discussed border issues.
“The eastern boundary was crossed again last night,” one warrior said.
Kael's fingers tapped once against the table.
“How many?”
“Three rogues.”
“Were they armed?”
“Yes.”
A dangerous silence filled the room.
Kael finally leaned back.
“Double the patrol tonight.”
Everyone nodded immediately.
Another advisor stood.
“The New York council has agreed to meet regarding the alliance documents.”
Kael lifted his eyes.
“When?”
“Tomorrow evening.”
Rowan, his Beta and childhood friend, folded his arms.
“Our flight leaves in two hours.”
Kael nodded once.
“Good.”
The meeting continued for another twenty minutes.
Food supplies.
Training schedules.
Rogue activity.
Protection agreements.
Every decision rested upon Kael's shoulders.
Being Alpha meant never allowing weakness.
Never allowing emotions to cloud judgment.
Never forgetting that hundreds of lives depended upon him.
When the meeting finally ended, everyone respectfully bowed before leaving the hall.
Only Rowan remained.
“You haven't slept properly again.”
Kael continued reading a report.
“I sleep enough.”
“You sleep three hours.”
“Enough.”
Rowan sighed.
“For someone who can fight twenty wolves alone, you're terrible at accepting concern.”
Kael ignored him.
Rowan smiled knowingly.
“Still no sign?”
The room became quiet.
He didn't need to explain what he meant.
Mate.
Kael slowly closed the report.
His expression changed only slightly.
“No.”
Fifteen years.
That single answer carried fifteen years of disappointment.
Rowan had watched Kael search endlessly across different territories, gatherings and wolf councils.
Nothing.
Not once had fate answered him.
Rowan placed a hand over his shoulder.
“Maybe she's closer than you think.”
Kael gave a faint humorless smile.
“After fifteen years, I've stopped believing that.”
Outside, a powerful black SUV waited.
The Alpha stood and slipped on his dark coat.
“Let's go.”
Within an hour, Kael and Rowan arrived at the private terminal.
The destination board glowed brightly overhead.
NEW YORK.
Kael walked calmly toward the departure gate, unaware that destiny had already arrived in the very same city only hours before.
Across the Atlantic, Aria's airplane gently touched the runway.
She looked outside the window with nervous eyes.
New York.
A new country.
A new university.
A new life.
Holding her scholarship documents tightly against her heart, she whispered softly,
“Mom... Dad... I made it.”
And somewhere beneath the same vast sky, the Alpha destined to change her life was flying toward the city where fate had quietly begun weaving their story.
