Returning to the control room without Freya, he fought his own emotions. It was his fault she was hurting right now. If he hadn’t pushed her into getting the nanites to disable the emotion dampening chip, none of this would be happening. She’d died, twice, because of his experiment. Now her emotions and powers were on the fritz and he was to blame. She was better off without him.
His attention snapped back from the whirlwind of emotion, there was something more important than him right now. The hard drive. His scalp prickled as he realized Em’Ra was gone. Double checking that the hard drive was still there, he noticed that it was loose from its docking station. Strange, since he knew it had been secure earlier.
Locking it back into place, he tried to verify all the connection
