Chapter 21
Alone again, Bash went to work searching for a backup file, but was surprised when he found it after a few minutes. Staring at it, he debated to try and open it or remove it from the hard drive. In both options, there could be another trap that he hadn’t found yet. He found it odd that it hadn’t been erased as well, but maybe he’d interrupted her when he’d overrode whatever path she used to get.
“There’s only one way to find out.”
His finger poised over the touch screen. All he had to do was tap it and the file would open. Closing his eyes, he pressed it and held his breath.
