John looked at his nephew who was looking very happy.
Harry you look happy. What’s the good news? John asked with curiosity
Nothing uncle. It’s just I am comparing my gains and losses and realized that I’ve gained more than I lost. Harrison replied with a grin
No Harry, you have lost something that is not coming back at any cost. No, actually we both have experienced irreversible loss. I don’t think our gains are more than our losses. His uncle said and sighed
We are losing from the very start uncle. We are struggling and fighting the battle every day. Adam and Mom, they both are free from this battle. I wanted to see this moment with him. Uncle I miss him. Harrison said with tears.
I miss them too Harry. We need to make ourselves strong. John said

After lunch, Sarah decided not to sit free. Sarah called her friend who also works in media and cover criminal news.
Hello Jenny……
Hey girl. How are you? It’s been so long. Jenny replied
Jenny can we meet? Sarah asked hesitantly
Why not girl. We can meet whenever you want but at the moment I can’t. She replied joyfully
Why? Sarah asked
I am out on reporting something. I’ll be back tomorrow. Jenny told Sarah her schedule
Okay then what about we meet tomorrow? Sarah suggested
Not bad girl. We can meet tomorrow on our usual place. Done? Jenny asked
Okay. Tomorrow at six. Sarah fixed the meeting
Done. See you tomorrow. Take care. Jenny said
Bye. Sarah hanged up the call.
Jenny and Sarah both studied at the same university. They were classmates and were very good friends. Jenny was criminal journalist and had many contacts in police and knew many private investigators. Unlike Sarah, Jenny was more brave and strong when it comes to facing dangers. She never hesitate to put her life on line to get the truth of different cases.
Sarah contacted Jenny for Roy’s case. Jenny didn’t like Jason. She always told Sarah that Jason is not the one he tries to be. She would be the only one who could help Sarah to find the truth. She wanted to dig out all the truths that would be hiding beneath the Adam’s death. She hated herself for being useless and not trusting Roy for once.
After calling Jenny, Sarah went to Jason’s mother who was resting in her room. “Hey aunty, are you ok?” Sara asked her entering her room.
Hey Sarah, I am just tired. Are you ok? Jason mother replied and take her hand and guide her to sit with her
Sarah, is everything alright? I know something is going on between you and Jason but please don’t take any step without thinking calmly. Jason’s mother said and kiss her on her forehead.
Aunty, there is nothing wrong. It’s just he lied to me. Sarah replied
Forgive him. He is an i***t. He doesn’t know how to express him. He likes you very much. Jason’s mother said with love and smiled
Yes aunty. I’ll keep this in my mind. Sarah said in a very low tone
Aunty what do you want to eat in dinner? I’ll cook for you. Sarah changed the subject
Anything you make dear. Jason’s mother replied.
Okay aunty. Now take rest. I’ll go get groceries. Sarah sad and left
Sarah left the house. She took Jason’s car and went directly to the place where she last met Roy. A place that was once her favorite spot and now Roy’s death place.
At that place policemen were stationed. They might be searching for Roy’s body. She knew she cannot stay at this place. She took turn and went to market to purchase grocery. After getting things she needed, she went back to Jason’s home.
When she came back, it was already evening. She made dinner and had dinner with Jason’s mother. After dinner she was watching TV with Jason’s mother when her mobile rang, it was Jason. She picked the phone.
Hello. Jason greeted her
Hi. Sarah replied
Are you still angry? Sorry I didn’t call you earlier, I was very busy. Jason said
Aunty Jason wants to talk to you. Sarah handed over the phone to Jason’s mother
Hi Son. When did you reach? How much busy you were that you even forgot to call you mother. Se scolded her son
I am sorry Mom, I was very busy I didn’t get time. I just entered in my room. Jason clarified and tried to calm his mother’s anger.
Did you eat anything? His mother asked with concern
Of course Mom. You know I can’t stay hungry. He chuckled
That’s good my son. I just want you to be happy and healthy.
I know Mom. I love you. Jason smiled and answered with love
I love you too. Now talk to Sarah. She handed the phone to Sarah
She took the phone from Jason’s mother and gave her a smile to make her less worry.
Yes. She said on phone to Jason with no emotions
Sarah are you still angry for what happened today? He asked with concern
What happened? I don’t remember anything. She replied and saw Jason’s mother going to her room. She got up and went to her room as well
Look I am sorry. How’s your hand? Jason asked
I am fine. She replied
Can I ask you one thing? Jason asked
What? Sarah replied and sat at her bed
Why you went to the cliff? Jason asked in serious tone
Sarah knew that Jason would know immediately if somebody at the cliff saw her but she took extra care and left from afar when she saw police there. She didn’t realize someone saw her there. She had to control her fear so she could stop Jason doubting her anymore. She had to find the truth and she couldn’t afford to make Jason doubtful about her. She knew she have to play safe or else she would not be able to dig the truth.
Yes I went there but ………….. How do you know? Sarah decided not to hide that she went there to build his trust.
And can I ask you…. Why??????? Jason asked with more serious tone. Sarah could feel the pressure and her heartbeat was increasing.
I went there unconsciously and when I realized it I took a turn and came back. Sarah justified and tried to calm her
Oh…. I can understand you are still under pressure for what happened. Jason replied
Hmm. Sarah just hummed and was thinking what to say now when Jason continued the conversation
Sarah take care of yourself. I have some matters to take care. I’ll call later. Jason said when he heard the knock on his room door.
Sure. You too take care. Sarah said hurriedly and hung up and sighed in relief.
