Sarah and Jenny went to their designated place. It was a café in their university days and later turned into a fine restaurant. They usually meet at that place. Sarah liked the ambiance of the place and of course the food was always good. When they entered into the restaurant they found a place to sit. “Thank goodness, we found a place to sit or else we would have to go to somewhere else.” Jenny said the moment she sat. “Yes” Sarah said and looked around then continued “It’s been long that I came here, it is much better than before.” “Oh yes. I am here after a long time.” Jenny said and took her mobile phone from her purse and starting texting. “Thanks for coming.” Sarah said “We’re friends remember????? What thanks, you idiot.” Jenny said and put her mobile phone on side. “Tell me what you wanted to talk about?” Jenny asked the reason for the meeting. “Do you remember Roy?” Sarah looked at Jenny who was looking at her with serious expressions. “Yes I do remember him. How can I forget about him. Even now the whole city knows about him.” Jenny replied with slight anger in her tone. “Jenny I think Roy is not a murderer.” Sarah said with calm “And why are you so sure about this?” Jenny raised her eyebrow. “The night before police shot him, he was with me. Infact at the time he was shot, I was there too.” Sarah said and looked at her friend who was looking at her with shock. “Do you have any idea what you’re saying right now?” Jenny asked Sarah “I know. That’s why I called you to meet because I want to know the truth and only you can help me.” Sarah said. She knew Jenny is a true crime journalist who won’t leave any such story unattended. “But what do you mean that he was with you? If I remember correctly, you never wanted to see his face.” Jenny said and took the glass of water. “I……..” Sarah was about to say something when the waiter came to take their order. When the waiter turned after taking their orders, Sarah noticed a familiar man sitting right next to them. She tried to remember where she saw that man when Jenny resumed the conversation. “So what were you saying?” Jenny asked. As she was about to say something, she remembered that she saw him near the house and even office. She stayed silent for few seconds and then replied to Jenny. “Nothing. I was just saying that we should meet more often. I missed you a lot.” Sarah said and tried to warn Jenny about the potential stalker through her hand gestures. Jenny was a smart girl but right now she seemed so dumb. Sarah took her mobile phone and sent her a text to stay quiet because she doubts there is someone spying on her. Jenny read the message but stayed calm and act like it was not an important message. “Yes. I was missing you too. You know we should always spend some quality time with our loved ones. It is very important for our minds and soul.” Jenny said after she put her mobile phone on the table. “How’s your family? It’s been so long that I met them.” Sarah said “They’re good. My parents now live with my brother in abroad.” Jenny said. They both started talking about this and that when waiter brought food. During the whole time they didn’t talk about Roy or Jason. They talked about the random things. Jenny also noticed that the guy Sarah pointed out was acting very weird and he was observing them too. Her sixth sense told her that there is something very fishy. “That man was very sketchy.’ Jenny said the moment they sat in the car. “Yes. I saw him near Jason’s house and then I saw him near my office and I think he is following me.” Sarah told her friend her doubts. “Someone is tailing us dear.” Jenny said looking at the car behind them through rear mirror. “They’re following us?” Sarah panicked “Hey chill it’s not confirmed yet.’ Jenny said and then she took turn. Surprisingly the car behind them also took turn. Jenny took another turn, the car behind them also took that turn. “This bastard is 100% following us.” Jenny said. “IS this the same guy from restaurant?” Sarah asked her “I don’t know .” Jenny said and took a U-turn and increased the speed. “I wanted to talk to you about all this. The moment Roy’s incident happened Jason is acting very weird. I think he is the one who hired someone to follow me.” Sarah said “No dear. We still don’t know who is the target of the person following us. I also recently did something outrageous.” Jenny said. Jenny looked serious. “What do you mean?” Sarah asked her. Sarah noticed that Jenny is somehow very serious than usual. She was frowning. “The case I was following recently had some serious things in it. I’ll tell you some other day in detail. First we need to get rid of this sneaky bastard.” Jenny said and increased the speed. It was not confirmed yet the car was following because of Sarah or her. If it was because of herself then she didn’t want to put Sarah’s life in risk. Soon she got rid of that car. She then drove Sarah to Jason’s house. “It’s good that now you’re living with his mother. It would be better.” Jenny said “We were not able to talk about Roy.” Sarah sighed and got out of the car.  “Sarah it’s been so long that we last met so would you like to come to my house this weekend for sleepover? In that way we’ll be able to talk about Roy without any disturbance.” Jenny asked Sarah. Sarah smiled and nodded “I don’t mind. I would love it.” Sarah said. “Okay then it’s done.” Jenny winked. “Okay then see you on weekend.” Jenny waved. “Stay safe Jenny and try to avoid dangerous situations.” Sarah was concerned about her friend. “Sure Madam. Bye.” Jenny said and left. Sarah went to the house. She had a spare key so she entered the house. She looked around, everything was quiet. She quietly went to Jason’s mother’s room. She was sleeping. Then Sarah went to her room. She was very much tired. She thought about how long the day was. She took shower and changed into comfy pajamas. “Jenny is so brave.” Sarah thought. Jenny was always brave since college days. She never feared anyone or anything may be because of this she was a crime reporter. She dig into many criminal stories and even helped the investigators too. “I’ll have to be like Jenny if I want to know the truth.” Jenny thought to herself and slept.
