Chapter Sixteen ~May 10~ The home of Mr. and Mrs. East couldn’t have been any more different from the Foreman’s home, Charles thought soon after he walked in and was greeted by his host and hostess. The Foreman’s drawing room had been done in the latest fashion, looking almost as if everything had just come from the most exclusive shops. The East’s home, however, was more settled and well-worn.
