Big Family

“What was that?” Peter asked Michael when they have reached the western border. “What are you talking about?” Michael has the idea but pretended not to know it. Jacob was the one who replied. “You seemed a little bit off and angry earlier at the dining hall. Then we saw how you ignored the omegas who greeted you.” “I don’t know what you guys are saying. You’re just hallucinating.” he lied. Peter shook his head. “Yah right! That’s why your scent smelled sour and rotten.” Michael just huffed in annoyance. The truth was yes, he’s angry. The problem was he’s really not sure why he’s mad...especially his wolf. If it’s because of the busy days, or the rogues who went trespassing and meant harm to their pack, or the arrival of the new omega...or maybe the omega’s warm smile towards the other alpha. Wait...that was impossible! He immediately disposed the last idea. “Have you find any suspicious going on here?” he asked one of the wolves to divert the topic. “There were no trace of strange scents or any footmarks in here.” “Rogue attacks were also experienced by our neighbour packs these last few weeks so we have to be alert at all times.” He said with full of command and authorities. “We will do our best to protect the pack, Alpha Michael.” one of the guard wolves said. He tapped his shoulder and gave a word of gratitude. “I’ll be going now. Jacob, please remain in here. I still have to monitor the other boundaries. Peter, go ahead at the north boundary then report to me afterwards. I’ll be heading to west and south boundaries.” He prepared to leave the other wolves when Jacob spoke up. “It’s new moon. Let’s go to the spring tonight.” the wolf suggested. “Alright. Let’s just meet up there later.” He waved to his friends and then started to run towards south. —— “Here we are! What can you say?” Chelsea asked Hannah. The omega looked around the place. There is a wide hot spring with two gigantic rocks at the center. The spring was surrounded with grass and wild flowers which make it look like a heavenly paradise. Her wolf preens at the sight. “I’ve never seen as beautiful as this place.” she admitted. She took a lungful inhale and she can’t help but to smile at the relaxing smell of the spring. “Let’s go!” Rina excitedly pull them towards the one corner of the spring. The omegas were wearing thin piece of white sleeveless cotton dress that reached the upper part of their knee. Rina and Chelsea said that it is commonly used by the omegas and some betas of the pack whenever they bathe in the spring. All wolves are free to visit the spring but during full moon, it became a ritual for the Jeon pack to gather at the spring, bathe together and shift to their wolves when the midnight comes. She can see that a lot of wolves-alphas, betas, and omegas and also pups were already enjoying the water. Some were swimming, some were playing, and some were just chatting with their friends while soaking in the hot water. It feels like a big family, a happy big family and Hannah wondered if she can be part of this family... Maybe at the right time, she told herself.
