CHAPTER 9 May was driving along a few miles from her house when she saw a tree branch down in the road. She stopped her car and got out to see if she could move it. She didn’t see anyone around. She slowly approached the limb. It didn’t look too big. Maybe she could drag it out of the way. As May leaned down to grab a hold of the branch, she felt something hit her on the back of her head. May was stunned and fell to the ground. She blacked out for a few minutes. When she opened her eyes, she saw her car going back the way she had just come.
