CHAPTER 11
They arrived at May and Silas’ home with little talking from the back seat. When May glanced back once, she saw April being held close in Jamie’s arms with her head on his chest. They were not talking, just holding each other and being close.
They all got out of the car and started toward the porch of the house. Jamie had a firm grip on April’s hand. Silas had retrieved April’s luggage from the trunk and brought it in. He hesitated when he came in the door. He did not know where to take the luggage.
Jamie and April were both still in a daze. They did not look as if they were going to be far from each other any time soon.
May noticed his dilemma. “Just set her luggage inside the door of the first spare bedroom. She will decide if she is staying after she has a clearer head,”
