CHAPTER 13
Gunner and Brenda were enjoying their trip. They spent their time talking and learning about each other. They sat close to each other. It seemed as if they had to be touching. When they stopped and filled up with gas, it was only about another three hours drive to May and Silas’ house. They decided to get something to eat. They sat next to each other in the booth and enjoyed the closeness.
“Silas is lending me his house to stay in while I am there,” said Gunner. “Would you stay with me?”
Brenda looked into his eyes and grinned. “Yes,” she said.
Gunner smiled and leaned over and kissed her.
When the kiss ended, Brenda glanced at the counter and saw the checkers watching them. “I’m not complaining, but as much as I love your kisses, I think we are drawing a lot of attention,”
