May and Silas went back to the house. They had barely gotten inside before they heard a car outside.
“It’s too soon for my family,” said May.
Silas opened the door and went out onto the porch. May followed him out. When Silas saw who was there, he started grinning.
“Hello, Marcel,” he said to the person standing by his truck. “Hello, Stanley,” he said to the person on the other side of the truck. Marcel and Stanley returned his greeting and started for the porch.
“May, this is Marcel Black Feather and Stanley White. Gentlemen, this is the love of my life, soon to be wife, May Merril,” said Silas.
