CHAPTER 15
Gunner and Brenda came early the next morning. They had brought gifts for Orin. May and Silas had eaten early with the boys. Serin and Autumn had just come into the kitchen and were getting some coffee.
Brenda opened the bags and showed them the wrapping paper, bows, and tape. “Do you have any scissors, May?” asked Brenda.
“Sure,” answered May. She looked in a drawer and retrieved some scissors. She handed them to Brenda.
Gus and Stan were crowed around Brenda trying to see what the gifts were. Brenda smiled at them and opened the other bag.
“Wow,” said the boys as they looked at the gifts. One was a police car. It had flashing lights and a siren. The doors would open and close, also. The boys loved it.
