CHAPTER 3
Gunner let himself into his apartment at six, after he finished his shift. He had knocked first, but when there was no answer, he opened the door with his spare key and entered. He stopped and smiled when he saw May and Silas sound asleep on his sofa. They were stretched out in each others arms. May was laying half on Silas.
Gunner quietly went on through to his bedroom. He took a shower and started to gather clothes to wear the next day. He thought about it and stopped. He went into the kitchen and made himself a sandwich. After getting a drink, he took both into his bedroom and softly closed the door. After sitting the drink on his bedside table, he sat on the side of the bed and turned the TV on. He lowered the sound and leaned back on his bed to eat his sandwich and watch t
