“Commander Xiaobo?” Officer Radhikropunanga asked. He didn’t recognize the voice in his radio.
“No. It’s me. Vancouver.”
“Sergeant?” Radhikropunanga responded both surprised and startled. If Vancouver called him, what the hell would have happened to Xiaobo?
“The chief’s on his way to see you.”
“Chief Roz?”
Vancouver started laughing. “Yes, I’m sure he is… No, I mean Commander Xiaobo. He’s coming your way with a couple of men. Commissioner Roz has been arrested. He’ll be staying in your cell.”
“And… What about you?”
“I’m on my way to VM2540 with the rest of the men. If Laro is right, we can turn down the first attack there.”
