"You are highly welcome. I hope you have seen the manager?
"Yeah," Rowan answered the man dressed in black suit.
"I am bishop Daniel, the CEO of LGC. I received your application letter three days ago from the manager. Here is the letter."
Rowan collected the letter from the manager with surprise written all over his face. He concluded that he was not qualified for the job.
He had worked with two companies in the last two years but he left due to low income.
He was still in deep thought when someone tapped him. He consciously looked at the CEO without uttering a word.
"I hope all is well?"
"Yes, sir. It's just that I have a slight headache," Rowan lied.
"Sorry for that. Do take care of yourself. You can resume work tomorrow."
Rowan was shocked, he never expected to get a job in such a big company. He thanked the CEO before he left.
The scenes of how Rowan started work at LGC kept playing in his mind as he had his bath inside the bathroom.
He ensured he had his bath quickly so that he would not be late to work. Although, he was confused.
It was 9:06 AM when he finished breakfast. He walked into the sitting room only to see Eva combing her hair.
"And where are you going?" he asked, perplexed.
"We are going to your office together."
Rowan burst into an uncontrollable laughter. He patted Eva on the back and said, "You are becoming nervous these days."
"Why won't I? Who doesn't know how terrible things happen nowadays," Eva said, applying powder on her face.
"Yes, I do, but you don't have to worry. I will be fine."
"Says who? You better go and carry your bag so that we can go on time." "I won't allow any bishop to kidnap my husband."
"Kindnap? You are so funny. I know whatever you say you will do is what you will do. I surrender, you can have your way."
"Now you are talking," Eva said with a smile.
"Lest I forget, you look beautiful even in your pregnancy state."
"Really? You are such a clown."
The twosome left the house, but ensured all doors were locked because of burglary.
They were lucky to get a taxi on time. One of the good things Rowan had appreciated about Singapore is the good and cheap means of transportation.
When they got to the company, they were ushered to the board room, this is the room that Rowan had never entered before.
"Good morning to you all," the bishop started.
"Good morning, sir," everyone answered.
It was a ten-man meeting, consisting of the CEO, manager, a lawyer and others.
"Without wasting much of your time, I would be handing over the company to one of you today, but before that let someone pray for us."
As a highly spiritual man, bishop Rowan would not start a meeting like this without committing it to God's hands.
As soon as the manager finished praying, the bishop continued, "From the outset of this company, I had made a covenant that I would hand over my company to my biological son and that is what I want to do today. Daniel Rowan steps forward."
There was confusion written on everyone's face.
Could the CEO be mad?
How can he hand over his big company to a cleaner?
