Chapter six

519 Words
PRESENT TIMES In a big sitting room were seated two gentlemen, they were both dressed in black suits. The room looked so beautiful, it must have been a wealthy person. The television set alone could buy a new model car. "Guy, I don't like that. You want to leave me for South Dakota? You know I am not married and you turn out to be my best friend and brother." "Yes, I know, but I have to go. I want to go and claim what belongs to me." "What do you mean by that?" "Five years ago, I was taken to the prison by my boss after being wrongly accused of stealing 1 million dollars." "One million dollars? That's a lot." The men were still in the midst of discussion when a woman walked into the room." "Dr. Silvester, are you still here? I thought you'd left for the office. You better don't allow Rowan to teach you laziness." "Laziness, the Rowan I know is a hard worker. Do have your seat." "Thank you," Eva said, sitting on an empty couch. "What is the bone of contention?" "Rowan said he wants to travel to South Dakota," Silvester said, looking Rowan in the face. "Travel? Rowan, is that true? Answer me," "Yeah," Rowan answered sharply. "You know our son is still young and he really needs you beside him…" "Nothing will happen to him. I have made up my mind and nothing can stop it. I need to take vengeance, my blood is boiling. Someone sent me to prison for something I know nothing about. I used one year in prison for a case I knew nothing about," Rowan lamented. Eva moved closer to him and pacified him, "It's alright, everything will be fine. You don't have to cry. Be the strong man you've always been. "Rowan, you have to listen to your wife, she is telling you the truth. In that case, I will follow you to the mission." "Thank you, my unidentical twin," Rowan said, giving out a smile. The two men had grown to love each other that they fondly called each other 'identical twins.' Eva left the sitting room to give the two men enough space for discussion. She always thanked God for giving her a good husband like Rowan. She was sitting on the bed reminiscing on the good time they have had together. She could remember how her parents never wanted her to marry Rowan. They had called Rowan a thief. They refused to attend their daughter's wedding because she married someone they don't love. They had expected their daughter to marry a well-educated and rich man. Love they say is blind, one could marry a beggar if he is the only man you love. The love between Rowan and Eva was unconditional. Eva was bent on marrying Rowan. "If it is for me to marry you and die the next day, I will do that," these were Eva's words to Rowan one night. They had both returned from a night party. The night breeze was there to take part in that awesome moment.
