My name is Rowan and I am the son of a nobody, my father is a subsistence farmer while my mum is a small shop owner. We live from hand to mouth. Though I am a young boy, I have a plan to change the narration one day. I want to change the course of events in the family. I want to be a billionaire. This was all Rowan could write in his diary on a sunny Friday. He kept the small book on his bed and left the room, leaving the door open. Mr. James was Rowan's dad, he was sitting on the only sofa in his small apartment. He was wearing his shoes when Rowan walked up to him. "Good afternoon, dad" "Afternoon," Mr. James replied sharply while still trying to wear his shoes "Dad, we are asked to pay 10 dollars for a project in school." Mr. James stood up from the couch and patted Rowan on the back "Young man, money is not being plucked on the tree." Rowan was shocked at his father's response, he watched him as he moved out of the room, holding a brown bag. 10 YEARS LATER It was a black day in Singapore as a plane crash occurred, claiming the lives of all the passengers. A young and handsome man, 25, was inside a big office cleaning it. He was doing this morning chore happily when he started hearing noise emanating from somewhere. "What is going on? "Who are those disturbing the peace of the company," he dropped his bucket and left the office. It was so nosy outside. Three uniformed workers were seen holding the arms of a man. The man was crying like a weaned baby. "What happens to the CEO?" Rowan asked one of the security guards. "I don't know. I am surprised as you are too. I just pray that no evil has happened to him." Rowan looked so confused. He had grown to love the CEO who always treated his workers like family members. Bishop Daniel was the CEO of the Lifted group of companies. He grew up in Singapore. He was an alumnus of Cambridge University, where he had a degree in business administration, he also had a doctorate degree from the same university. However, when had a calling from God in ministry one year after he founded his company. He yielded to the calling and he was ordained as a bishop. As a well schooled-man, he was able to strike a balance between ministerial work and his company. He was a man loved by all because of his impact. Rowan stood for two minutes without anyone to tell him what had happened to the CEO. After work, Rowan changed his clothes and left the company. He took a taxi home. Eva was Rowan's wife, she was a full-time housewife. She was dressed in a light gown when the door flung open. She stood up and moved in the direction of the door. "Welcome, darling" "Thank you!" Rowan said and gave his wife a kiss.
