Spring rolled around marking a full year since Evangeline had come to Rel. Every day his love only grew, and even now, he thought of her innocently bright smile. Standing from his desk he walked over to the window with a smile of his own. Evangeline was out in the garden today, admiring the spring flowers that were beginning to blossom. When she met his gaze through the window, she smiled and offered a wave to which he returned.
"Landon! Come to the Audience Chamber!" Landon barely registered who the messenger was as he darted from the room. "There is a man here to see Lady Eva!"
