CHAPTER 8 Reagan got up early on Christmas morning, picked out a festive sweater, and headed out the door, with her coffee in one hand and a couple of presents in the other. Just like every other day in December, she sat in the driver’s seat, patiently waiting for her car to warm up. She and Jackson had agreed to spend Christmas morning with their respective families, then spend time with each other later that evening. This meant that Reagan had to leave by seven, so she would have plenty of time with her mom and dad before returning home.
