I had found my mate, I was beyond excited, my wolf was so smitten with her within the first few seconds, I didn't even bat an eye when she told me she couldn't speak, it didn't matter to me. I didn't see it as a hindrance, it didn't take anything away from how beautiful she was. She had this calm aura about her, I knew she was an Omega and that didn't bother me either, I know a lot of warriors or ranked wolves who are mated to a Omega, they bring a sense of calmness to your lives, our packs wouldn't function without them they bring balance to us.

We sat and talked the whole time during the ball, I was glad I decided to attend, I wasnt at first, but then I kept watching my brother with his mate, it made me long for mine, so I came with Luke and them. I know most twins share a mate, but not all do. I was glad when Jake and I didnt, Yes im close with my brother, but to share that kinda of intimacy was something i didnt want to do, and his mate is not one i would see myself with, Sure Clarissa is a sweet girl and fits Jake perfectly, but me not so much, She is the opposite of what i like and look for in someone,

Ivy is everything I thought my mate would be, she is sweet and shy but yet she isn't afraid to stand up for herself. I was shocked when she thought I was going to reject her, just because she had no voice, it wasnt her fault. My heart broke when she told me how she lost her voice. Another reason why I hated rogues, always took what wasn't theirs.

And now this beautiful woman had lost her voice due to them,

What also took me by surprise was seeing her parents at the ball. Seeing how they cared for her warmed my heart. I had enjoyed sitting with them, talking and getting to know them,

Walking her to their car at the end of the night was hard; I hated for the night to end. When they drove off, I couldn't help but send her a text, I was thankful that we exchanged numbers.

I couldn't wait for the next day,

Once morning hit, I had put a call into my Alpha letting him know that I had found my mate and would be returning with her. He was happy to hear about her, and he would have all the transfer papers ready for when we got back, and that way, she could join our pack right away.

I made my way over to Ivy Place, I felt so giddy as I walked up to the door, Her mom greeted me as she welcomed me in. The house smelled wonderful,

"We just finished making breakfast, I hope you are hungry," Sh head told me as I followed her to the kitchen. My breath hitched in my throat when I stepped in to see my mate in the kitchen, she had been helping her mother cook.

The conversation flowed so easily as we sat and ate. Afterwards, I helped Ivy pack up her room. She wasnt taking a lot, just her clothes. She said it was a new start, so she would replace things with new ones to show how her life had changed for the better.

I felt so much pride at hearing her words, It showed she had fully accepted me and our bond.

Once we had things packed up and loaded what she was taking, she said goodbye to her parents, with a promise to visit as soon as we could.

She was nervous about meeting my Alpha and Luna, and everyone at a new pack. I had called my mother on the way, telling her I had met my mate and was bringing her home with me. She didnt sound too happy about that, but I didnt care. I was on cloud nine nothing was going to knock me down,

Jake was happy for me; he had called, I guess my mother called him. He couldn't wait to meet her. That was Jake; he was always happy and outgoing, and those two hit it off. He thought she was great and a perfect match for me, He even agreed to learn how to sign so he could communicate with her.

Mom, on the other hand, and Clarissa seemed to hold back. Mom refused to learn how to talk with her, and Clarissa ignored her.

It's been a month since she came here with me. She had become a member of the pack. We were mated and marked, and I couldn't be happier.

She competed with me in a way I never knew I was missing. Everyone who met her seemed to love her,

Jake and I had taken some courses on sign language. Ivy helped us a lot, She would laugh as we would screw up then show us how to do it right,

She tried to teach Mom and Clarissa, but they both would blow her off with an eye roll and then walk away. Jake would give Clarissa a look, but she just waved it off and then walked into the other room with mom.

"I dont know what their issue is," Jake would grumble as he watched them,

Shrugging, "Me either, but im not letting it affect me and Ivy, it is their loss if they dont want to get to know her. Maybe after a while, they will come around,"

"True, but I do not understand why Ivy hasn't done anything to them; there is no reason for them to act that way."

That was true, but I wasnt going to force them, It would make it worse if I had. I dont want them fighting with her, so if they didnt want to be a part of her, then find by me. All I need is her. I didnt care what they did.

Jake and I were heading out for a patrol, we had the night shift this week. Alpha had also talked to us about taking over as head trainers,

"Has Mom said anything to you about staying with you?" Jake asked, as we walked into the patrol building,

Looking over at him, I scrunched my brows together,

"Why would she? She has the house from Dad." When Dad died, she wanted to stay there as it kept his memoirs alive to her, that and she said it was better to raise us boys in,

He shrugged,

"She was telling me the other day how lonely it is there, and how we dont ever come visit her, she has to always come to our place. Normally, when she starts with that, she is looking for something, which I think is to stay with one of us."

"That would make no sense. Why would she want to leave the house, the one from Dad, she didnt want to when he died, but now she doesn't want to be there, that's odd,"

He nodded, "I agree, I think with us having mates is messing with her, like we wouldn't have time for her anymore, or something."

"No time, come on, man, she is at one of our places all the time, usually it's your place, seeing as she is close with Clarissa, but still,"

"I dont know, man, all I know is she is fishing for something, as much as I love mom, there is a limit and im not crossing it."

I just looked at him, WE always had a good relationship with mom, we were all close, even after Jake found his mate she took to Clarissa quickly, its also helped we all grew up together, Clarissa was from our pack, Maybe that's why mom had a issue with Ivy she was from a different pack, but that shouldn't be a problem, we have a lot of others met their mates outside of our pack, And lately Jake seems to be pulling away from mom, I know he had been fighting with Clarissa a lot as well, I dont know what over, but i can tell something is bothering him, when he's ready he will tell me,
