***Ivy*** "Why dont you two go sit down somewhere and get to know one another," That Luke guy said before I could write out my answer that Brandon asked, I said his name again in my head, I like the name, "Yeah, Im down for that, if that's okay with you?" He says as he holds his hand out for me, With a quick nod i put my hand in his as soon as our skin made contact tingels erupted on mine making me suck i an sharp breath, His body stiffen so he must have felt the same as i did, He led us over to an empty table, pulling my chair. Smiling at him, as I sat down, grabbing my board, I quickly scribbled out a thank you "You are welcome," Wiping the board clean, I wrote again, "Yes, I can not speak," I show him he reads it as his head bobs, "Can I ask? Were you born that way, or did something happen to you?" "An accident when I was younger," He reads it, then looks up. I turn my head so he can see the faint scar on the side of my neck; it has it on both sides, but I show him the side that is closer to him. "Wow, that looks like a bite mark?" He leans closer, I nod, picking up my marker again, "Yes, another wolf bit me as a child and bit down too hard," I make a biting motion with my hand. "Im sorry that happened? Why did it bite you?" This is what I hated when people ask, cause once I tell them a rogue tried to steal me during a rogue attack, they always give me that look of pity, some act as if I was poisoned by the rogue and dont want to be near me, "Rogue tried to steal me when i was younger," Was all i wrote letting him read it, HIs face hardned his eye lifting to look ay me, and here we go, he is going to reject me, I kinda figured once my mate met me and found out i cant speak and how it happened they wouldn't want me, Wiping the board clean, 'If you want to reject me, it's fine, I do not blame you." Sliding it to him, he read what I wrote, his head snapping up, "Why would you think I would reject you?" Hurt flashed in his eyes, Taking back my board, 'Cause im broken, and being with me is a challenge most do not want," "Im not going to reject you, you are my mate, my other half, rejecting you would go against the moon goddess," I just blinked as I stared at him. Did he really say that? He wouldn't reject me? Shaking my head, I grab the board, 'It's okay really, you dont want a mate who cant speak,' Once he read the board, he pushed it awa,y pulling my chair so I was facing him. he got on his knees, which put him eye level with me seeing as he was over six feet, so kneeling in front of me made us the same height, "What is your last name?" Writing it on the board for him, he smiled at me, "Ivy Green," Nodding my head, He takes my small hands in his big ones, "I, Brandon Myers, accept you, Ivy Green, as my mate." I couldn't help but the smile that broke out on my face. Removing my hands from his, I began to sign, he watched as I moved my hands. When I was done, he looked at me, "What does that mean?" I was about to grab my board when my father's voice came from behind me, "She says she accepts you as her mate." Brandon's eye snapped up to look over my head as I turned a little to look at my dad. He stood there with my mother, they both were smiling big at me, Mom cupped my cheeks as she kissed my forehead. Brandon stood up, Dad held out his hand, "Benjamin Green." They shook hands, "Brandon Myers," He turned to look at my mothers. She shook his hand, "Hellana Green, and you are our daughter's mate?" Brandon nodded, "Yes, I am." His voice full of pride, "Well, why dont we all have a seat and get to know each other?" Dad offered, "Certainly, I would like to get to know my mate's family." And that's how we spent the rest of the ball, sitting around the table talking, my parents seemed rather happy with Brandon, and so was I. He seemed honest, and sweet, and most of all, he wanted me, even with my issue. I learned that he has a twin brother who found his mate two months ago, and his mother is still alive, but his father died in a rogue attack on the pack a few years ago. He told us about the different things in his pack and some about his Alpha and Luna, they sound nice. His pack was a bit bigger than ours, I also learned that he was a warrior in his pack and has been since he turned nineteen. He was twenty-eight, Brandon even got me up to dance a few times, he made me laugh as he would spin me and dip me. He was a lot of fun. When the night was done, he walked me to our car I gave him my address so he could come over in the morning. We had to go over the whole moving me to his pack, and then talk to the Alpha about my transfer there. Placing a kiss on my cheek, he held my door for me, I couldn't help but smile the whole way home I felt like I was on cloud nine while Dad drove us home. My phone chimes halfway home, pulling it out, I chuckled, seeing it was a message from Brandon. Answering him quickly, Mom started to coo from the front seat, She caught a glimpse of my phone in my hand, "Aw, Mr lover boy reaching out already, so sweet," I slapped her shoulder, making her laugh out loud, "Dear, stop picking on her, you weren't any better when we first met." She gasped as she placed a hand over her heart, "Ben, how could you?" She tried sounding hurt but the huge ass smile on her face say other wise, "I recall someone sneaking into my room the same night we met," She bats her eyes at him. He laughs but covers her mouth with his hand he isn't holding the wheel with. "We need to be setting an example for our child, not telling her to slip her newly found mate through her window. Now I will have to make sure all the windows are nailed shut when we get home," I just roll my eyes at them two, Once we are home, I make my way to my room, getting out of the dress, getting another good night text from Brandon I slip into my bed with the thought rerunning over what happened tonight, I was not thinking i would find a mate tonight when i walked into the room, Im not sure i would have found him if Luke didnt come talk to me first, I was still a little worried he would change his mind later when he sees how much work it is to be with someone like me. Sure, I can fend for myself, but it's the wanting to have a conversation that makes it hard for some people. The thought of me moving to his pack, where I have no family, was a little nerve-racking, but I think I will be alright as long as Brandon is with me. He said he has his own place and has lived on his own for two years, With all the nerves and the excitement of tonight, once I hit the bed, it didnt take long before I was out, dreaming of a future with a mate that I never thought I would have.
