Months passed before I even got another chance at finding a boat — but I did. That same day, I went out to scavenge. I looked around all day but found nothing. I was determined to at least find a clue. I was willing to sleep out there if I had to.
I kept looking when suddenly I noticed a lab — a lab that I knew wasn’t normal. A lab in the middle of nowhere, on the beach?
I knew immediately that must have been the cause of the wave. I went closer, but there were guards at the gate, so I couldn’t get too close. Good thing I brought my binoculars for a closer look.
I saw them bringing in big boxes. My guess was they had tools for a science experiment — the same experiment that killed my friends.
What could I do to get into that lab? What’s the strategy? I thought to myself.
Then I remembered there was scuba equipment in the boat. If I could get underwater, maybe there was a way into the building from below. But it was a huge risk — they could spot me.
I needed a way to get into the water and under the building without being caught. I would have to swim, of course. It would be too risky taking the boat — they could hear the engine.
