Celine's P.O.V.
Everything was going wrong—so terribly wrong that I wanted to break down and cry. There was no way out of this curse, except… except to rebel a bit, to defy a few rules and drink some wine to release the energy inside me.
I went out with a few friends, including Claire, who was nervous about the idea, and Jordan Mitchell, the most rebellious guy around, along with some others.
I downed more than ten bottles while cursing Alpha Black. What a cruel, selfish, and twisted person. The anger still simmered within me, so I suggested a game: whoever won would command the others to do anything, and they’d have to obey.
Jordan Mitchell sneered, "Do you really think you’re going to win and beat me, Celine?"
I laughed, matching his sarcasm, and looked straight into Mitchell's eyes. "I always win!"
"Don’t be reckless, daughter of Daimon," Mitchell warned.
I stood up, swaying slightly, but my words fell with determination: "How about we wait until the end and see who wins?"
Mitchell’s anger flared, but he seemed confident in what he was doing!
The next morning, I woke up feeling dizzy, with a splitting headache pounding in my mind. I wished the school year would end as quickly as possible.
I was wearing a very short white cotton pair of shorts, barely covering me, and a sleeveless top that looked like a bralette. After a quick shower to wash away the scent of alcohol, I put on my academy uniform, slung my backpack over my shoulder with some books in my hand, and hurried toward the bus, hoping to leave before he found out about the night.
As soon as I boarded the school bus, one of the troublemakers stuck out his foot, causing me to stumble, while laughter erupted around me. My confidence faltered as the mocking stares broke me down.
I glared angrily at my glasses, then looked up at the person who had tripped me—it was none other than "Jack," Mitchell’s close friend.
I knew this student was as good as dead. He clearly didn’t know whom he was dealing with. Did he think I was some silly, weak girl who would just fall and sit there crying?
But before I could react, that obnoxious Black entered the bus. I could temporarily put the fight on hold, but I wouldn’t forget to teach Jack a lesson he’d remember for a lifetime.
Claire made me sit beside her, watching as my anger rose and the students’ laughter intensified around me, mocking me further.
Within minutes, the bus arrived at Evergreen Sky Academy.
As soon as I entered the classroom, I found out that my first class was with Black—facing that loathsome man in the early morning. Today’s lesson would be on something new about the origins of werewolves.
The professor began confidently, teaching with skill. "The Mysterious Origin: Rather than the common bite transformation, some werewolves come from an ancient royal lineage known as the 'Eternal Wolves.' These wolves do not age or die naturally but disappear at a certain age to live in another realm."
I wasn’t focused on the lesson—not because I wasn’t interested, but because I couldn’t forget what had happened, the mockery I endured. How could I possibly stay silent in a situation that demanded confrontation? I wasn’t one to fear conflict, but my father’s repeated threats held me back a little.
Lunch break arrived, and Claire grabbed my hand, leading us to get something to eat. There was chocolate milkshake and jam sandwiches.
Meanwhile, Jordan Mitchell pulled up a chair, placed his feet on the table, and smugly said, "I think you forgot our challenge, Celine. You lost yesterday, so now you have to do what I say."
I had lost. The loser had to fulfill the winner's demand, whatever it might be.
"Tell me what you want, Mitchell!" I said, impatiently.
After a moment of thought, Mitchell glanced over at the table where Jennifer and Black were sitting and said, "You’re going to kiss Alpha Black. And remember—it has to be a deep, daring, wild kiss that lasts ten minutes."
Shock washed over me, leaving my limbs frozen. I was supposed to kiss Alpha Black. What a challenge. The thought alone disgusted me.
Mitchell smirked at me, eyes glinting. "You can tell me if you’re not up for it and want to back down."
"Fine, you’ll see," I replied, resolutely.
I approached Alpha Black’s table, and our eyes met, his blue gaze locking onto mine. He was about to say something, but I cut him off, swallowing his words in a deep kiss. Gasps and whispers echoed around us as students gathered, watching the scene unfold. Being so much shorter than him, I had to stand on tiptoe just to reach his height.
I was going to kiss him and be done with it, whatever the consequences, but when I tried to pull away, I realized I was trapped. I attempted to escape his grasp, but he held me firmly.
Despite my rebellious nature and the freedom I valued, I had always kept my first kiss sacred, never imagining it would turn out like this. He clenched his jaw, kissing me so hard that my lips began to bleed. Even when a few drops of blood trickled from my lower lip, he wouldn’t let go. He was truly twisted.
The students cheered, their voices growing louder until the academy supervisor showed up, drawn by the commotion, only to witness Harry Black holding my face, kissing me in front of everyone’s stunned gaze.
The supervisor shouted, "What is going on here? You’re supposed to be here to learn, not to kiss each other. What’s next, s*x?"
Everyone fell silent, but Black still didn’t release me, his kiss unyielding. The supervisor’s voice boomed again, angrier: "Let her go, Black."
He finally let me go, catching his breath, while I raised my hand to touch my swollen lips, still feeling the depth of that kiss.
I was in shock until the supervisor’s angry voice broke through, ordering, "Black, follow me, and bring Celine!"
The supervisor walked away, and Black followed, but before I could take a step, he leaned close, whispering in my ear, "That was quite a delicious kiss, and I must say, I enjoyed the taste of that jam sandwich you had earlier."
He ended his remark with a wink. Meanwhile, all the girls around were eyeing me with envy. I barely registered what had happened, especially since it had been my first kiss. But why did Alpha Black kiss me so passionately?
