meeting her
Author’s P. O. V.
Someone threw the paper on the floor as he greeted his teeth; his friend could not help but shake his head at him, “This is not that bad, V."
Yes, this may not be bad now, but when stupid students throw paper balls at him, that will definitely be bad.
“bad? It's worse, Jay.” V said, throwing his head back. His frustration knew no bounds; his finger itched to pull the trigger of his gun at someone.
V, the mafia of Mumbai, the biggest one ever feared. No one knew how he looked but here he was hiding away. His black eyes were full of rage even.
“Oh, how?” Jay asked, frowning and his neck to look at him. He knew it was not the way to talk to a Mafia don, but Jay was his best friend and second in command, his right hand, and the person he trusted the most.
“Kids! From all the jobs in the world, you got me signed up for a teaching one?” V asked. He was looking frustrated as it was not what he wanted. Teaching was something he was not very fond of. Kids irritate him to the core, even the mention of them.
“The betrayer is there, the best option,” V nodded and walked away. He wore his black t-shirt and pants before opening the door of the small house they were staying in.
Jimin did not ask him anything because he knew his friend was in a bad mood and he knew that V wouldn't want to be accompanied at that time. Also, he was afraid of his friend's temper. Best friend is best friend, but he is a Mafia as well man! Don’t look at him like that.
Walking around on the road, V went to the supermarket; now when they were supposed to live there, they needed groceries.
He was just running around clueless about what to get for groceries when his eyes fell on yogurt. He walked there and was just about to grab it when another hand came forward.
He looked up only to see a cute guy staring back at him, “I need this excuse me." The girl said to him, cutely smiling. For a moment, v lost himself looking at him. He was mesmerized by the little thing standing in front of him; doe eyes, plump lips, pale skin, a cute little nose and her most attractive bunny smile.
V came out of his la la land when the other one waved his hand at him. He frowned for a moment.
“I need this too,” V said as he took the yogurt from her hands. The other girl looked at him as his mouth formed a big O
“bananas! I saw it first! It is mine, “ The girl took back the yogurt from V as he narrowed his eyes at him. Although the bunny guy was cute, v couldn't let anyone take something which he wanted, and would it hurt his BIG EGO?
“Give it back,” V said calmly, which was abnormal, though even he was shocked by how calmly he spoke.
“No way!” The guy said No, hiding the yogurt behind him as if it was his most precious possession.
“You have not paid for it, okay? It is mine,” the guy said as he quickly kept walking towards the cash counter and put the bill on it.
“Here, please bill this,” The girl looked at V with a bunny smile as V walked towards the counter in a calm way. He would never have bothered because of a yogurt cup but, duh! this girl taking away things from V? He is a mafia, after all, how can he let go?
V kept the double amount of the yogurt cup as the cashier guy looked at him, “Bill this on me,” V said as he quickly did the billing on him.
“Your name sir?” The cashier asked.
“Karan,” he said as he took the yogurt from the counter, the girl watched him with a cute but angry glare. V smirked at him.
“Freaking rich people!” that bunny girl murmured under her breath as she eyed the guy who walked into the other section.
The girl walked in another direction, thinking of all that had been happening out there that she did not notice when she bumped into something or someone.
“What am I huh? Your favorite to fight with?” Karan asked with a frown on his face. V dropped the bag he was holding as she narrowed her eyes at him.
In the next second, V pinned her on the pillar near them as her breath stopped in her throat.
She could feel his heart racing. She looked into V’s black doe eyes; suddenly all he could think about was how they would look if they had feelings in them for him.
She was a simple girl with a broken heart. He did not know what was happening to him.
V’s finger went to caress her soft skin as she looked into his intimidating but dark eyes; he could feel the thirst of drawing into them.
“I take what is mine. Sweetheart,” V’s hand went to her neck for a second as she quickly closed her eyes. V smiled to himself as he saw the innocence of the girl’s face in front of him.
She was beautiful, he could not deny that. Hearing the footsteps, V left him and disappeared somewhere; Kiara closed her eyes as he took a deep breath to calm himself down.
“I have been looking for you in the entire dairy section and here you are, Kiara,” Kiara opened her eyes when she heard her best friend’s voice. It was Yash, the guy who had been with her since she was in diapers.
“I—umm… Nothing,” Kiara looked around for a second when she did not find V anywhere, she released the breath she did not even know she was holding.
“What got you so worked up?” Yash asked with a teasing grin playing on his plum lips. Kiara looked away; instantly a smile made its way to her lips.
“Oh I forgot to pick up the ketchup, I will be back,” Yash said and ran from there like his ass was on fire; Kiara laughed as she turned around.
Suddenly, the space felt too small, V’s dark aura was not making it easy for him to breathe.
V felt drawn to him but he did not know why.
He created a little distance between himself and Kiara. He leaned forward slightly as Kiara’s throat ran dry, “I would like to take a bite of this Kiara,” V said teasingly before he winked at Kiara and walked away from there, leaving a shocked Kiara behind to deal with her ragging emotions.
“How many things did you buy?” Kiara asked, looking at the 4 bags that were full of groceries.
“Don’t look at me like that, I am a growing man, I need food,” Yash said with a defensive look. Kiara chuckled as they walked out of the store.
They were in the parking lot after paying the bill when one of their eyes fell on someone. Instantly, flashbacks came and tears filled her eyes as she looked away.
“Let’s get out of here fast,” Yash said to Kiara, still looking away. Yash noticed his behavior and looked around when his eyes fell on a very familiar person. He gritted his teeth as he nodded at Kiara, holding her hand to comfort him. They walked towards their car but it was right where that person was standing.
Or let’s say waiting.
“Look, who do we have here?” Armaan said in a sassy tone as Kiara avoided looking at him. This guy who he thought would be there for her always betrayed him. She was nothing but a bet for him.
Armaan, the guy with blond hair and doe-like eyes, The one Kiara gave his heart to, was right in front of her, but this time all he gave Kiara was hurt and pain.
“Listen Ar—“Kiara held Yash's hand as she looked at him, shaking his head; Yash's eyes softened, and he knew how much Armaan hurt her in his fake love.
“K, run. Don’t look at me, (pause)
"bear,” Kiara's eyes connected with Armaan's as he laughed, seeing tears in Kiara's eyes. Kiara's heart was breaking seeing Armaan but he didn't want to show his emotions.
A large lump formed in her throat while she gulped, closing her eyes and, without saying anything to him, she sat in the car. Yash's blood was boiling but he could not do anything, since hurting Kiara was the last thing he wanted.
He quickly drove away as Kiara wiped her tears, “it will get better,” Yash said after a long silence. He knew how much pain K was bearing but he couldn't do anything. Yash was feeling so helpless as well as angry.
“I am waiting for that day too, Yash,” Kiara said, before walking towards the house.
