After our Monday meeting, Cayce had asked us all to come over to his place for dinner that night. I’d asked Arabella to come with me, and she’d hesitantly agreed. But now that she was there and had been introduced to everyone, she seemed right at home, playing with Cayce and Zurie’s two-year-old daughter, Clarisse. “You’re the cutest!”
Zurie was all smiles as she watched Arabella playing patty-cake with her daughter. “She adores you, Arabella. She’s usually pretty shy around new people. You must be a natural with children.”
She smiled sweetly at my sister-in-law. “I have no idea; I’ve never been around any.”
