Chapter Seven Chase Arabella’s blue eyes sparkled in the white Christmas lights strung above our table as I sipped on a Blue Hawaiian. “This is the first time I’ve been out at night. It’s so much cooler in the evenings than it is during the day.” She put the tall drink down on the table. “What time of year does it cool down here in Brownsville?” “It can range anywhere from late September to early November. And it can last anywhere from January to March. I can’t recall the last time the temperature got close to freezing, though.” Leaning back in my chair, I looked up at the starry night sky. “So, I take it that you’re glad I asked to be seated outside instead of eating inside?” “I’m very glad you asked to sit out here. It’s so refreshing.” She watched a couple step onto the dancefloor.
