Chapter fifften: lela’s comeback?

“Joe?” I questioned as I walked in joey room. It was a weekend and our friends were planning to go bowling tonight since it been a while we hung out together.

“Yes, babe?” Joey walked out of the bathroom in a towel around his wasit. Did he take a shower? I was surprised as Joey put his smirk on his face.

“Horny?” joey questioned and I just cleared my throat.

“I wish, get dressed. We're going to bowl remember?” I questioned and Joey nodded. He went to his closet as I sat on his bed. I pulled out my phone and look at my text. I saw Danny texted me.

Danny:” hurry girl.” I rolled my eyes as joey lean his hand against his bed. He looked at my phone. He was in black jeans and no shirt yet. He combed his hair back with the brush to let it dry. He would use gel to hold it back but he been letting his hair free which I like.

“I’m almost done,” Joey said and went back to his closet. I replied to Danny.

“Blame joey if we're late.” I locked my phone and just looked at Joey putting on a shirt. He closed his closet as he went to his bed to grab his phone on the nightstand.

“Grab my jacket from the hook of my door. I’ll start my car as I wait for you.” Joey said and kissed my cheek. He made me wait. I just did what Joey asked. Joey grabbed his car keys and headed out the room door. I just got up from the bed and went to grab joey’s black jacket. I put my phone in my back pocket and I left joey’s room. I heard joey’s car turn on in front of the house. I jogged down the stair as we were late as it is and walked out the front door that was open. I ran to joey car as he was waiting outside his passenger seat.

“Hey babe, can you drive for me?” joey asked and I was confused as hell.

“Why ask?” I questioned and joey entered the passenger seat of the Tesla. I just sighed and walked to the driver seat.

“Why I drive?” I questioned as I entered the driver's seat. I put Joey's jacket in the backseat. Joey was on his phone looking frustrated.

“Just drive babe,” Joey said frustrated. I sighed again and I didn't want to question joey any further as he looked pissed off as he is. I put the direction of the bowling ally and started to drive. Joey kept looking at his phone as he kept texting the person. While I was driving joey put his hand on my leg and he put his hand in my inner thigh. He made circles as he looked out the window. He was starting to calm down now. I was thinking maybe I should ask but I shouldn't. I continued to drive as Joey moved his hand up my thigh.

“Sorry babe, I’ll explain everything later,” Joey said and I was surprised.

“Okay baby,” I said and put my hand over joeys. He put a smile on his face.

“You know how angry I get and I'm glad you understand. Are they there yet?” joey asked calmly.

“Can you check?” I asked and went to grab my phone. I unlocked it and gave it to joey. Joey grabbed my phone and looked like he starts texting someone.

“Danny is there with Harry. Greg is driving there now and we’re halfway there. I’ll tell Danny to just grab are ally tight now so when we get there it all set up. Are you going to play babe?” joey asked and he was texting on my phone.

“Oh no but I can buy you all boys food. You know I don't play games,” I said and Joey shrugged.

“You can learn from me if you like?” Joey said and he put my phone on his lap. He looked at me as I turned to enter the freeway.

“I’ll just watch you fix your muscles while you play baby. I have a book I downloaded anyways as I know I get bored,” I said and focused on the road.

“Oh..okay then. Can I tell you something?” Joey said and he put his hand back on my thigh.

“What baby?” I said and joey leans in and whispered in my ear.

“I should let you drive often. You look hot driving my car just saying.” Joey whispered and I was surprised, of course, he would say that.

“Thanks for that, maybe I should ask for a Telsa instead of a Lexi.” I put the car on autopilot as we were on the freeway. I looked at Joey with a smirk on my face.

“You should of but you have my car. You're fine since I have it already. Is there a car you in mind?” Joey asked looking at me.

“Hm..” I started to think as Joey moved his hand up my thigh. Joey leans in more kissing my neck. “A Lamborghini,” I said and Joey pulled away shocked.

“Wow! Rich girl thinking?” joey questioned and I just giggled.

“I like luxury cars secretly and my dad knows that. He said he’ll try to buy an old one and fix it up better than a normal new one you can buy,” I said and Joey nodded.

“My dad can help your dad with that. My dad friend has an old 2016 Lamborghini and your dad can fix it up.” I was surprised and I just froze. Just then the alarm for the starting wheel beeped. In a Tesla, you have to put your hands on the wheel for a while so they know you're not asleep. I put my hands on the wheel.

“You can text my dad that then.i’m sure he’ll be happy when you tell him yourself.” I said and I removed my hands from the wheel as it was okay now.

“Okay, look like I’m making your dream come through. Also, I have a gift for you too. I'm buying it after our bowling game.

“Oh..” I just looked at Joey still looking at me.

“Just wait for babe, I’ll give you something you like and want for a long time.” joey grabbed his phone to text my dad maybe. I removed the autopilot and continued to drive to move to a different lane. We drove another 15 minutes until we got to the bowling alley.

“Finally, Danny is sitting waiting,” Greg said waiting outside. Joey locked his car and we all walked to the entrance of the bowling alley. I was i=linked arms with joey as we walked in. we saw that there was a crowd waiting as they had a party going on.

“Sorry, Joey took his time getting ready as he was the girl himself.” I joked and Joey looked at him with a ‘really’ face. Great started to laugh as we passed the party waiting. We walked to the shoe section and the person who works the shoes noticed us.

“Hello, can I get all your sizes.” the guy said and looked at me.

“Can I get a ten and he’ll get 11 men,” Greg said looking at the guy. The guy started to look at the shoes behind him.

“What about the lady? Are your bowling?” the guy asked looking at me and I felt joey tense up. Joey spoke up as I was about to speak.

“No, she’ll watch.” the guys looked at joey surprised and saw my arm linked to his. He nodded and put the two shoes in front of joey and Greg. Joey and Greg grabbed their shoes and we walked away from the guy.

“What was he doing when you got there?” Great asked as we walked to the alleyway. Where Harry and Danny we’re waiting.

“He got done taking a shower and he took his time changing. Plus there was traffic.” I Said and Greg nodded. Joey looked away annoyed.

“I like to look good for you okay babe.” Joey said and Danny notices us. Harry was next to notice us.

“Hey, what took you so long?” Danny asked and looked at joey. I let go of joey arm and put my bag on my the counter nearby. I sat on the stool next to it.

“Joey here want ed to look good for his girl. She not playing so she'll just watch us from the stand.” Greg said and pointing at me. Harry and Danny nodded as joey removed his shoes. Greg did the same. Just then I heard a commotion walk past me and to the the next lane. Looks like the [arty start and they took two lanes. One thing for sure they had a lot of people. All of them had their shoes in their hands.

“Babe, can you get us all water. We’ll watch your bag.” Joey walked up to me and he had his bowling shoes on. He handed me a credit card which surprised me. Joey was confused about why I was confused and then he realized. “Oh! My dad gave me his so don't lose it.” Joey said and walked away with my bag on his hands. I just got off my stool and walked to the food area where they made unhealthy food and one salad bowl. I had my phone in my back pocket. I pulled it out as I enter the three people line. I went to text joey if he needs anything else while I was here. I waited for a while to get a reply.

“Just water and you can get whatever you want.” I put a smile on my face and I moved up the line.

“Okay, I’ll try not to max out.” I replied back. I locked my phone and looked up as I was next. I felt someone behind me. I didn't want to look back.

“Next in line.” the guy at the cashier who looks like the manager said and I walked up to him.

“Can I get five water and two plates of fries with ranch and ketchup,” I said and the guy tapped the iPad.

“That will be $16.15. Cash or credit?” the manager said and I gave Joey's credit card. Just to let you know Joey's dad has a gold card. The manager was surprised as he did his thing. I saw a worker making fresh fires on the back kitchen with the small window.

“It’s my boyfriend’s dad card. I don't know what he does for a living,” I said and the manager nodded giving me back my card. I grabbed it and put it with my phone in my hand tightly.

“What your name so we can call your name when your fries are done.” the manager said and I just nodded.

“Jeannie,” I said and the manager put my name on a receipt and put it up. The cook saw it and he continues to cook.

“Thank you.” I walked out the line as he grabbed five water bottles and placed it next to him to the pickup tray they have set up. I grabbed the water bottles as I saw Joey walk to me.

“What you get babe?” joey asked and he all water bottles from me. He was managing to carry it all in his arms. I just put my hands up giving up.

“I got us two fries for us. I’m hungry sort off and I know I’m not alone,” I said and Joey chuckled.

“Thanks, babe, you know all of us too much,” Joey said and we made it back to the boys.

(joey’s perspective)

“f*****g hell! You're too good joey.” Greg groaned and he leans back on the chair. We just first are first round as Jeannie was sitting next to me and on her laptop. The worker let her use the wifi as long as she only does her homework and also trying to finish up applying for a college of her dreams. She had her air pods in her ears that her brother bought her for her early Christmas present since she been wanting them. Lucky girl.

“Sorry Greg, are you guys hungry ?” I asked and got up from the seat. I tapped Jen's shoulder and she removed an air pod from her ear and looked up at me. “Want a salad? We can share in case you don't like it,” I said and Jen looked surprised.

“Sure, you eat too much baby,” Jen said and I was offended. All the boys started to laugh and I just sighed. Does she have to make fun of me here? Jen put her air pods on and continues to do what she was doing.

“I like food babe, okay I’ll be right back.” I grabbed my wallet with my dad's credit card my dad has and said I can keep but I have a limit to spend. He was planning to get another gold card soon. I walked to the small set of stairs and walked to the food court. I saw a couple of girls from the bog group walk to the food court with me. I entered the line that was long. I texted Jen that it be a while and I need Danny's help.

“Okay baby.” I put a smile on my face as the girls joined behind me. I locked my phone and then I heard a girl talk. I knew that voice right away as she spoke.

“Hey Joey, still with her?” I turned to see Leila and two of her friends with a smirk on there faces.

“Hey lei, just trying to have a good time with my friends and my girlfriend. Have a problem with that?” I questioned and Leila looked surprised. I looked forward as the line moved up. Danny then came from behind me and he stood next to me.

“Hey, so Jen told me you need help?” Danny questioned and I just looked away from Leila ignoring her. I pulled out my phone to see Jen texted me.

Jen babe: “Just get us a chili fries. We’ll all share. Greg said that.” Danny was also reading my text.

“What if it gets messy?” Danny asked and we moved up as Leila and her friends were talking,

“We’ll clean up of course. It not like we have too,” I said and Danny nodded pulling out his phone. He started to text a girl.

“So who this?” Leila asked and Danny and I looked behind us. I rolled my eyes and put my hand on Danny's shoulder. Danny looked at me confused.

“Just ignore her,” I said and we looked away. Leila frowned and she sighed in frustration. Her friends made her move as she moved beside Danny.

“You're so manly! Want to head to my car and have a little fun.” Danny looked at her disgusted. She had caked makeup and Danny hates that at least that what I learned.

“Nah, not in the mood.” Danny pushed her off and she looked pissed.

“Ladies don't harass the young men place or I need you to leave the line and order later.” the older man said at the cashier and Leila shut up. He friends stood beside her.

“Sorry guys, what would you like?” the older guys which I'm guessing is the manager asked. The other three people in the line just got water or food that will take a while.

“Can we get a plate of chili fries and five water.” I said and the manager nodded. He pressed on the iPad thing and Danny looked at the menu.

“Can I also get a nacho plate?” Danny said adding on the order. The manager nodded again and pressed on the iPad thing.

“Your total is $17.50.cash or credit?” the manager questioned and I gave the gold credit card. Danny was surprised as Leila was too.

“Dam rich boy. You and Jen act like rich kids, your so made for each other.” Danny said and the manager chuckled. The manager grabbed the card and did his thing. He gave it back to me as soon as he was done.

“My dad owns a big company and the same with Jen. we have families who are hard-working,” I said and Danny nodded.

“Was your girlfriend the one that came here earlier?” the manager asked. I just froze as Danny did the same. Danny chuckled as he pulled out his phone from his back pocket.

“Yeah, she’s worth the stubbornness,” I said and the manager chuckled.

“Here’s your number and we'll call you when your food is ready. Can I have a name?” the manager asked and looked at us.

“Danny,” Danny said and the manager wrote Danny's name. he gave us a numbered receipt as he put a copy near the back kitchen. I and Danny walked to the side table where it says pick up and grabbed our water bottles. I had three in my hand arms. Danny had the other two on his hands.

“So who’s that girl anyways?” Danny asked as we walked to Jen and the other two settings up a new game. I groaned and look back at Leila's friends were ordering. Leila was looking at me.

“My ex and her friends,” I said and Danny looked shocked. I just sighed and we made it back to Jen and the others. Greg noticed us frist before Harry and Jen as I sat next to her, I handed her a water bottle.

“where’s our food?” Harry asked and I just rolled my eyes. Jen went to take a sip of her water and disconnected from the wifi. She closes her laptop as she gave the employee a thumbs up as she was done. The employee gave her a thumbs up back.

“My eyes hurt, I hate homework online,” Jen said and lean against my shoulder. She closed her water bottles as I put my wallet back in Jen's bag,

“Your laptop was low huh?” I questioned and Jen looked at me surprised. I just chuckled as I know I was right. I kissed Jen's forehead.

“I forgot to charge it okay? Leave me alone, I want to watch you new win since you were second place last game,” Jen said and I kissed Jen's head again.

“I’ll win for you, babe,” I said and Jen giggled and she nuzzled in my chest.

“Can you guys stop flirting, lets play joey,” Greg said and I just sighed. Jen leans away from my chest as I got up. Jen put her air pods back on and she started to go on her phone.

“Sorry, also we have to hear your name dan,” I said and Danny looked up at me

“I know,” Danny said and we started to play again as we waited for our food.

We ended our second game and we just walked out the bowling ally. I had Jen next to me as she grabbed my arm. She was on her phone texting her brother. It was still 7 pm so I still had time to get Jen's special present. I know she been waiting for one and I also been wanting one too.

“Let go get the special present now babe,” I say and Jen looked up at me.

“Oh yeah, let go.” Jen put a smile on her face. I put a smile on my face too as we walked to my car. I saw Leila was right behind us and she was armed linked with another guy. She was flirting with him of course.

“Leia?” Jen questioned as we made it back to my car. I look back at Jen and I walked her to the passenger seat. She looked at me confused but she sighed as I opened the door As she entered in. I closed the door and walked to the driver seat.

“Dam bro, a tesla huh?’ a guy with lei still linked to his arm as he was looking at my car.

“My uncle spoiled me for my birthday,” I said making the conversation short. The guy nodded and looked at Leila nodding.

“You know you changed and I hate it,” Leila said and looking at me. I rolled my eye and entered the driver's seat. Jen looked at me while on her phone. I just whispered as I lean in Jen's ear.

“I’ll explain later.” Jen nodded and Leila knocked on my window. I put on my seatbelt and turn down my car. I put the window down a little as Jen was still on her phone.

“You guys can hang out with us f you wan. I'm sure your girlfriend won’t mind.” Leila said and I just sighed in frustration. There no way I want Jen around Leila.

“Sorry, but we have plans already. “I said and put the window up. I started to back up. Leila back up from my car as the guys she was withstood behind her,

“Explain now?” Jen questioned and I combed my hair back with my hand

“You know that Leila my ex and she want to hang out. At the bowling ally, she was trying to make me ditch you but I didn’t do anything. One of her friends hit on Danny but she had caked makeup.” I said and Jen looked surprised. I was focused on the road as I drive my way to target.

“Make sense but we have plans or at least you have plans for us,” Jen said and she looked out the window.

“I’m buying you a present for you and me. Trust me, babe, you’ll love it.” I said and Jen put a smile on her face. I put a smirk on my face as well.

“I’ll hold you on that,” Jen said and I shook my head. I put my hand on her and intertwined our fingers, I kissed Jen's hand and I continued to drive.

(Jen's perspective)

“Here we are, baby.” Joey said as he parked in the parking lot of target. I was really confused.

“Why to target?” I asked and joey chuckled. I grabbed my bag as I got out of the car.

“You’ll see babe,” Joey said as he got out of the car too. Joey locked his car as we both walked to the entrance of target. I was still confused as Joey went on his phone do something. I sighed as joey is one man that does keep secrets from time to time.

“Are you spoiling me? Are you buying me something I plan to buy myself?” I question starting to figure it out. Joey put his phone away as he was checking his bank account. For sure that confirms that.

“You’ll see babe.” joey grabbed my hand and we continued to walk into target. It was pack sort off and Joey pulled me past the customer server and past the cashers. I saw we were walking to the electronics.then it hit me. I was planning to buy a switch since my cousin has one and my dad was going to buy one but I told him I want to buy it myself. Did my dad tell Joey I wanted one? Of course, he would.

“I hate my dad, I was planning to buy the switch with my own money,” I said in a low voice but joey heard me as we made it to the electric walking to the games consoles

“Well I wanted to but you this one and you can buy your games. Deal?” joey grabbed pulled me to his chest as we reached the switch which was pretty big. I thought it was a little smaller in my eyes when I saw it online.

“Okay fine. Can I see the games?” I asked as a worker walked our way. Joey kissed my head and let go of my hand. I walked to the games which were near. I saw joey talking to the worker about the switch. I looked at the games and I knew what I wanted. Mario smash bro and Mario Kart. I picked it out as Joey walked to me with a switch in hand.

“Okay let pay babe,” Joey said and we walked together to the cashier. He was ready for us as Joey put the switch and I put the games on the counter.

“Okay so this is all?” the cashier asked and Joey pulled out his wallet.

“Yes, I’ll pay for all of it,” Joey said and just as I was going to say something joey lean in as the cashier did his job. I was just frozen there in place.

“Pay me back later babe joey whispered and I just sighed. The cashier gave us the total as joey paid. Looks like I have to pull out money from my bank to give back to joey. The cashier bagged the switch and games and handed it to joey. Joey grabbed it as we thanked the cashier. We walked side by side to back to the entrance of the target.

“You didn’t have to do that,” I say as joey chucked and put his arm around my shoulders.

“I did it for my girl. You deserve this for sure. Just think of it as a birthday present from me.” Joey said as some family walked passed us.

“You took me out to dinner already on my birthday. It not the same.” I say as Joey and I walked across the street to the cars.

“It’s the same to me, babe. Are you happy with your games choice?” joey asked and looking at me.

“Yes, and their party games so can all play when we hang out,” I say and joey chuckled.

“I’m very competitive so expect me to be a little rough when we play,” Joey said and we made it back at the car. Joey went tot he back seat and put the switch in the back seat. He walked me to the passenger seat and he opened the door.

“I will be ready,” I said as Joey closed the door. He walked to the driver's side as I put on my seat belt. Joey entered in and he put on his seat belt. this was one hell of a day. We hung out at the bowling ally and got a future present from my boyfriend. Joey needs to stop spoiling me.

“So my house?” joey questioned and looking at me as he started his car.

“Yes please, help me set up my switch since you bought it for me, baby,” I say and Joey sighed.

“Fine.” Joey knew this was coming so he should have been ready.

“Thank you, baby,” I say and kissed his cheek. Joey chuckled as he started to back up.

“Your welcome babe,” Joey says back and he put his hand on my leg. This I didn't mind as joey drove away.
