As soon as the phone call with the witch Jess ended I knew that Graven would be mind-linking me, trying to find out what he could. Now that he had the potion it was only a matter of time before he used it, but at least we had until tomorrow morning to get everything ready. When I was on my way to this pack every time he spoke to me it sounded like music in my head, but as the distance between us increased the compulsion wore off a little and it was just enough for me to let Casey and Kirk know that he had some sort of control over me. They knew just what to do and gave me vervain, which worked great because I wasn’t compelled any more, but I still had to take a little bit each day to make sure he couldn’t worm his way back into my mind.
