After Kirk left, night quickly followed, but I still couldn’t sleep. I was tired of tossing and turning in bed, so I got up and walked to the windows with my throw blanket. I opened the windows wide and climbed out onto the roof, laying my blanket down and sitting on top of it. I looked up at the dark night sky, watching the stars for a while and then I started to think. This place was my home, this was where I belonged, I thought as a sense of warmth ran through me.
