18 Surprise!

DEAR DIARY,
When Juniper showed up at work today, it was a total surprise. It feels like forever ago that we talked about her coming into the city. She hadn't mentioned it again, so I figured she forgot or she didn't want to face my family again.
I threw myself into work and focused on the cash.
This afternoon I was restocking the display of travel accessories when I sensed someone behind me. I figured it was just one more frazzled Christmas shopper, but when I turned around—lo and behold—it was Juniper!
I screamed and threw my arms around her and hugged her so hard I could feel her body heat through her long wool jacket. I started jumping up and down, bringing her with me as I exclaimed, “It's you! It's you! I can't believe you're here!”
