Chapter 7

Ashy started telling the story. I just zoned out because I didn't want to re-live it. I snapped out when I heard loud sobbing, I turned to see that it was Ashy's mom who was sobbing into her husband’s chest and her husband had so many emotions in his eyes anger, disgust, admiration but most of all was sadness for me which made me feel a lot better about him.
After his mom stopped crying she tried the best she could to compose herself and smile at me.
"My son is very lucky to have such a brave and strong girl like you as his mate and Luna " said his dad. I was very happy that his parents accepted me and so I shyly thanked him.
We all started talking normally and just like that the tense atmosphere was gone, the house was filled with laughter. This was the first time in my life that I felt like I was a part of a family. I learnt their names as Katherine and Aaron.
I knew I could never forget my past but it was becoming easier to deal with day by day. Katherine started telling me about Ashy’s childhood memories, hours passed with all of us laughing and occasionally ashy groaning due to embarrassment which I found so adorable.
Later I and Katherine started making dinner. I just did what she told me because I didn't know almost any dishes names and how to make them. She taught me how to do spaghetti and meatballs and let me tell you it was all very tasty.
We all had a wonderful tasty dinner together and then they left promising that they will come back soon.
As soon as I and ashy were alone he took my hand and we sat in the sofa with me in his lap. I was blushing but I made myself more comfortable and hugged him around the waist with my head on his shoulder. He was playing with the ends of my hair I felt so warm and safe. I never wanted this moment to end.
Suddenly I remembered the word LUNA, I wanted to ask him what it meant. I mean I know a little, I read some things but I wanted to know more. I was a bit hesitant to ask I don’t know why.
I think he sensed my nervousness, he lifted my chin so that we could look each other in the eyes and then he asked, "What's wrong angel? You can tell me anything you want" .
I hesitated but asked, “I am not sure what a Luna and Alpha are or what they do", understanding shined in his eyes and he gently asked me, " how much do you know about werewolves angel? Tell me everything "
So we both discussed all there was about werewolves what are packs, alpha,beta,mates and hence forth. He also told me about the mating process it has 3 parts accepting, marking, and mating. I was blushing the whole time while talking about this so all this means that we completed the first part.
He told me all about his pack, I mean our pack now. It's just so weird to know that I am part of a pack, more after a Luna. I am not officially part of the pack per-se but you know still not used to it.
I will be meeting the pack soon, he said they are all very good and friendly and are very excited to meet me, but I am still so anxious of new people.
He said we'll be going to the pack doctor soon so that he can help me in getting over this fear and anxiousness. I am very happy that he is so concerned about me.
I will try my very best to live up to his expectations I know he doesn't want to pressure me he just loves me. I love him and I will become what he deserves. I know it won't happen instantly and its a long road, but as long as ashy is with me I can do it.
